http://www.sega.com/e3/2006/announcements_tp.php?item=pr_20060428a New sega rally game coming to the 360, Ps3 and PC. Not the Wii though. Maybe finaly we will have a decent next gen sega rally game to play!
I understand from reviews on the web that it was not that good. Pretty much the same Sega Rally since the dreamcast release with slightly updated graphics. Let's hope the new Revo title will bring some fresh air to the franchise same could be said for the Outrun, the new 2006 version is a bit empty in my opinion. I wonder how it will play with the Wii controller... Sabre
Sega Rally 2006 for the PS2 was average, at best. The Sega Rally 1995 bonus disc was good though, since it's the emulation original Arcade version. But let's not forget that sega is killing Sonic with all those crappy titles, Sega Rally is almost forgotten, no Daytona for a long time,... not to mention they have tons of succesful franchises, but simply don't want to use them. When are they going to make a cool F1 simulator, like Super Monago GP or Virtua Racing? A inspired Shinobi game? Alex Kidd ? I complain a lot about Nintendo, because they make everything with Mario: Soccer, Golf, .... But at least the games are good, if not great. Sega makes Sonic Riders, Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog.... With Yakuza, After Burner and Virtua Fighter 5 let's hope they go back to what they were. Because from the "actual" games, i only care about Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution and Out Run 2 (and 2006 Coast To Coast).
Oups my mistake, you're absolutely right. The name can be tricky :icon_bigg. Let's hope in any case that they bring the franchise to a new level. Sabre
I wonder how that "terrain deformation" works... About SEGA, welk is ironic that they almost went bankrupt when doing high quality games, and now with the craptastic catalog they are going for EA's ass. Please God, dont let this game suckray:
Give me a break. Sega has always released high quality titles throughout this generation, and they still do. Granted, they have released average to abysmal titles as well, but it's not like Master System/MegaDrive/Saturn/Dreamcast were saved from those either.
I agree 100%. It's come to a point now where I dread seening new Sonic games. It seems sega wish to make them with no magic, originallity or creativity. I'd kill for a decent update of Daytona (even Daytona 3 would do!), Virtua Racing or Sega Rally. However, with the recent success of OutRun I imagin/hope that some new versions of the classics will be out soon too. The whole Mario 'X' games bug me a little but in general they are high quality, I especially love Mario Soccer. I understand why they do it though; I doubt that "Nintendo Tennis" would sell as well as a game called "Mario Tennis"...
Yeah but how many? we know those are good, but quantity? that's the problem here. Let's just say the ratio of good games to bad games isn't as good as it used to be.
I agree. Let's hope it plays just as good. I grew up playing SEGA games mostly. Arcades or home consoles. They were always the high standard in quality for me. I want all games from them to be great. The first time i played Out Run 2 on the arcades was incredible. Hearing that credit noise, the same from the original, was something special. Plus the game is awesome. Any doubts i'm getting Out Run 2006 Coast to Coast?
I have a marketing video for Shadow the Hedgehog that makes it look like one of the coolest games ever... I think i'll hold off praising sonic until i have the game in my hands.
Yeah I know what you mean, but you cant blame SEGA, they took a page from SE's book: FF VIII. They practically sold the game using the CGs intros.
Dont expect a new daytona any time soon, they lossed the licenss to that which is why they had to have hasbro involved when they did the dreamcast rerelease. This also explains why daytona 2 has never been released for a console.
Am I the only person who thought that Sonic Heroes was a nice game(not including that lame ''search/detective team)?
