They did put up will all the crazy Revolution rants. Why? free publicity of course! Same with Segammy: by "keeping the hope" alive they save millions in market research, and can test us to see if we're really interested in a console. Of couse with "we" I mean any dumbfuck kid who still plays Sonic games, not us...
99% of the games played on the openpandora will be illegally downloaded ROMs, Segammy would be dead before launching something like that... Now, making a legal version with a virtual console-like store and a strong and open SDK (to counteract that of the iphone's) might have a chance. But whats the point anyway? its segammy, not SEGA
Sammy did make a couple of good games in their life as a video game developer... There was Viewpoint... er ah there is the phone be back later...
SEGA SAMMY is making major league money again! http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6258410.html http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/28116/Sega_Sammy_Projects_Lowered_Revenue_Increased_Profit.php http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/16/sega-expects-profits-in-fiscal-q4-2010-forecast/ The handheld seems all the more likely now.
Its seems you're oblivious to the fact that segammy has been making money for years, and mostly due to the fact that unlike the old SEGA they dont have to support a series of low-yield consoles and therefore are making money by publishing their games all across the gaming spectrum. Now, why would they go back to consoles then?
I wish it was logical for them to publish on all platforms and their own... but then nobody but us would actually own their system.
I think SEGA may have weapons of mas destruction! lol, no i think its EA, i heard they were planning on entering the console market. I mean i love sega to death, but there not that stupid, and there not that smart.
EA is making a shitload of money off just the cr-appstore, why would they go and spend so much money on making a console of any kind just to sell the same things? Hardware manufacturing is becoming more and more unatractive with revenue decreasing every year. Even apple declared that "software is were the money's at" which might explain why they lock it down to force you to buy their overpriced hardware... They could, is all down to how good it really is. For example the pspgo was a good idea with a piss-poor execution that ruined any attemps to make the PSP platform more appealing to ipod fans. I say, if segammy could make a PSPgo with better controllers, more storage and a LIVE (or is it SEGANET?) like online gaming service, they could really change things around, and they would still be able to make games for bigger consoles like the X360 and PS3 But thats not going to happen, not even if they get some carrier to make a SEGAphone...
They recorded a net loss of $454 million for year ending March 31 2008 A net loss of $1.088 billion for year ending March 31 2009. And are expected to announce within the coming weeks similar numbers for year ending March 31 2010. In all likelyhood they won't be around 2011/2012. You seem to be overlooking the fact that Shadowlayer lives in a world where facts don't exist. But you can't blame anyone for losing buckets of cash in 2008 or 2009 .
Hmm...it's seems SEGA may be planning an assault on the casual end of the market. http://seganewswire.webs.com/apps/b...a-s-downloadable-console-still-in-development
You turds should be considered legally retarded... Check google finance, Segammy's stock price For 2005: $19.50, not bad Right fucking now, 2010: $3.14!:gravedigging: Even 2006 and 2007 were better, they are barely making it out of the sewer now. And before you say it: yes stock price matters a big fucking lot, since thats what keeps execs on their seats, and Wall Street from going Gordon Gekko on your ass.
