That's bad to hear but certainly understandable. I think people will get a LOT more out of this pack than some of the 32X releases put together. But hey, that's me. People just don't want to spend too much money these days, you can see it everywhere.

BTW I don't think me tossing in another BETA or two would help, sadly.

I don't think anyone's interested in these games that's why no ones spending money on them. The 2 32x games last year were so highly acclaimed because they were 2 of the most unknown and known games for the system.

..which is actually a silly thing when you think about it. I'd rather play an unknown game that could deliver hours of playability than a big name with a few glitchy screens, good for roughly 5 minutes of my time.
I could mention a certain game with a blue hedgehog some people paid hundreds of dollars in donations for and consisted of basicly nothing.

Note that I'm not 'defending' this pack because I compiled it, this is my actual opinion on the matter.

Yeah, but the Sonic community had been looking for Sonic 2 Alpha for years before the discovery.

Just sent my donation - hope it will help.

Last time i spent money for a community release was Propeller Arena. Hope these guys are more professional than Service Games.

The Virtua Cop doesn't seem to offer any interesting differences worth coughing up the money for, and most have already seen Werewolf and determined it probably sucked no matter what stage of development it was at :p I think if you want to release anything it would have been wiser to stick with one game at a time, in this case possibly just Chill.

I'd just generally stop any "pack" releases in the future since it makes the price higher and harder to obtain. Plus I hate the idea of if there's one thing I want we have to pay up for other games we might not care for just to get that one.

Same here on the pack idea. The only game in there worth bothering with IMO is Chill. I have no interest in a slightly different build of a game I've played to death. An early beta build, yes that would be interesting. As for Werewolf, Capcom USA. Need I say more. They never produced anything worth while.

I also agree on this but if there's only one game of interest why don't you donate just a few Euro? Is Chill alone worth nothing?

If I'm correct, the main goal is what is equivalent to around $760 US dollars. That just is way too much to get to. Prototypes are expensive enough already, and clearly Chill is the main one here. Having to pay up for the other two that you may not care about is a bit too much to ask for a community donation effort. I think just one game at a time will always be the way it should go.

It's kind of like meeting a girl in a restaurant and buying her lunch, but then she invites her friends and insists you pay for them too. I'm only into one of them bitches, not all three. Hell no am I paying for all of them just to get to one :p

If you get what I'm saying... Oh yeah, and I think if there's more planned releases there should be a poll or something to see how many people pledge to donate to them, and then pick the one with the most votes. If there's still several games that were bought and are being considered for release too. Hate to see you guys losing money if you're expecting ahead of time more interest then there might actually be.

But in this case you can just pay for the one you want and be the lucky guy who has fun with all three. You decide which amount you want to donate - and each donation helps.

I dunno how else to really say what I mean. In any case, I personally, like pretty much all community releases, just don't find any of the games interesting so I've withheld donating anything. Chill clearly stands out in the bunch here, but I'm also not fond of snowboarding(or any type of sports) games at all.

Ahem. I recall certain members here moaning when SegaSaturno released their version of Werewolf 'why not release S.F's' version, that seems way more complete'. Now I come up with the goods (which was difficult enough as there was another party involved) but now its 'not interesting'. 'Won't pay for that'. Make up your mind, please.

I would say it's unlikely we'll see many more unreleased Saturn games 'set free' anytime soon. Not from me at least, I already made that mistake. Twice.

Oh and that's my final words on this issue (this pack).

Maybe those people donated already? Either way, whatever they said it isn't like it represents every single person who passes by to look at this topic, so you can't take their words and assume it will mean you'll be getting donations from people all over.

Hopefully this isn't going to go downhill from here. There's always going to be issues somewhere and you can't please everyone, but don't take that to mean no one anywhere deserves anything anymore just because you don't like what they say. I don't even think this is really a big issue, SegaSaturno just pointed out how donations are coming slowly and it seems only proper people would pitch in with why they think that might be :x

@SegaFreak: That release is a good idea and i thank you what you've done.
Maybe enough money can still be gathered for this release - it's a good thing.

Who's to say I did or didn't. What I'm trying to say is that packing a few games together puts people off because of the higher price. People see the higher price and think "THey'll never make that, so why bother donating" Bleek I know but that's how people think. If the target was cheap everyone whould give a little. Or at least that's how I see it.

Like many people here I've been following this thread and really wanting to donate something but life has been hard and money scarse (isn't it always!)

I'll check my paypal account and see if I can donate something... Every little bit helps. I guess if everyone saw it that way then this goal would have been achieved a long time ago but I do agree... the fact that it was high to begin I think has put a lot of people off.

I will do my best and see what I can do... fingers crossed!

No matter what, thanks for your efforts to all involved - I really appreciate your efforts. Cheers!
