    Wow, that's crazy generous!

I'm not interested in any of these games, but I'm really excited about the fact that so many people have worked hard to compile this set.

People who don't know that much about about Chill might be interested in the 2-page review and 4-page showcase feature that appeared in April 1998 issue of Sega Saturn Magazine.

    http://www.outofprintarchive.com/catalogue/officialsegasaturnmagazine/OSSM30.html

Silicon Dreams were unfortunate enough to try and release a snowboarding game on the Saturn mere months after Steep Slope Sliders was released, but it did have a 2-player mode, which Steep Slope Sliders doesn't have.

Silicon Dreams also developed World League Soccer '98 (published by Sega Europe) around the same time, the only football game on the format to use the Saturn's high resolution mode.

There's no update on SegaSaturno since days - i thought the target amount was reached?

Also a little concerned - could either drx, ryo suzuki or segafreak let us know what's going on? Would be appreciated.

It's been out of my hands since the transaction between Segasaturno and me was made. It's up to Segasaturno to release the pack now. I could provide the games (naturally) but that wouldn't be very nice to Segasaturno so there's no way I'd do that. I don't think DrX had anything to do with this pack, apart from maybe a donation.

The link on page one takes you to Hidden Palace which, If I'm not mistaken, is drx's site?

    Anyway, patience is a virtue.

We are doing the release in short time. It's just our busy agenda and lack of time what has prevented us on doing it before and since the target amount was reached, nothing else.

I don't think anyone would expect you to release it straight away, of course. Everyone has busy schedules, we all appreciate that. However, when the last payment was made, it must have been noticed by the recipient. An official response would have been nice just to acknowledge the target has been met and work will start on the release - that only takes 10 seconds to write. A delay of a day or two, I can understand. Two weeks was a bit much to even get a message up, though.

I'm not trying to be horrible to you or the team. I'm sure everyone appreciates your efforts and is excited about the imminent release of these lost gems. I'm just saying that, if you want to fundraise for a release, you need to ensure you can at least check your e-mail every couple of days and keep people updated. Think how you would feel if you donated money to something like this, or even bought an item online, and heard nothing.

You are pretty much right, and I would like to express SEGASaturno's sincere apologies for that. It's the first time we have had this issue, although saturn_worship did come in fact to announce we were going to do the release anytime soon.

I myself have been very occupied this last month with some personal affairs and was totally unaware of the fact that the target amount had been reached already. Had I known this before and been able to, and you would have had earlier a much detailed and precise statement about when the release would have been, but it has simply not been possible, neither for me nor for the rest of the team and because of their very own reasons.

I'm just checking the very last details in order to have the release done ASAP. And again, sorry for having all of you concerned in these two weeks of non-activity from our part.

No problem - it's a scene release and not some game ordered at Amazon. No one expects to have it right now.
Good to hear that you work on the games to be released soon.

Brilliant to see Chill finally available in the wild after 13 years (has it been that long?!).

(Here's hoping the author of SSF fixes the sound issues that this game displays with the emulator!)

Thanks to everyone involved who made this release possible! I look forward to seeing them, especially Chill.

Wesker, it's no problem. People have priorities, that's understandable. The release, once you caught the fact that the goal had been met, was extremely fast. I'd say that more than makes up for it - a few weeks to wait for release is nothing, really. And if it's helped you identify a problem that could possibly be rectified in the future if you do this again, then it's a positive learning experience!

Thanks for the release  It's clear to see why Chill was never released though. It's bloody awful  Zap Snowboarding Trix is better and that's saying something. But it's not about the quality of the games, it's about getting the chance to play an unreleased title. THANKS!
