Has anybody seen this movie yet? I saw it this morning and it was better than i expected. It was very funny What are your thoughts about the movie?

Well I think loads of us know that the old eps of the Simpson's are the best and the new ones just seem to be a repeated storyline just told in a different way to me. I don't see how they can make 1:30 funny but I will have to wait and see. In my opinion Family Guy is way funnier
It will take forever for this movie to come out here. Guess I'll have to settle for the internet version. If it's half as funny as any episode in Seasons 4-9, I would be quite happy.
How I couldnt agree more on that. I really preferred the "Middle" of The Simpsons seasons the best... :thumbsup:

It will come out eventually... just forever down the road. Some movie came out a few weeks ago that I literally saw WELL over a year before Hawaii.
I just saw it last night...and I was fairly disappointed. I had always heard that the reason that they hadn't done a movie already is that because they couldn't find a plot that would be good enough and feature length. Well...they still didn't... Though the basic plot is decent, and extravagant enough to be movie worthy, there is just so much filler material in there that it ruined it for me. The filler material I've mentioned also seems very tacked on, ruining the flow of the movie. It would have been excellent at som ewhere between 45 minutes and an hour...but as is, is kind of weak. That said, the movie is funny and worth seeing...but not what a HUGE Simpsons fan, like myself, probably wants.
It would have been better if it had been made 10 years ago when the simpsons was at its height. But in this day & age it just screams cash in.
I am one of the bigest Simpsons fan there is and I thought it was ok...ish. As you guys have all suggested seasons 3/4 thru 9/1/11 are blatantly the best. The movie plot was ok although highly unrealistic and a bit stupid. However I appreciated all the 'hidden' puns in it and I thought it was pretty funny. It should have featured more chracters - it only revolved around the Simpsons. The town folk were there but they didn't do or say much.
Here's what needs to be done Do another 2 seasons then 1 more movie and have that 1 more movie be the series finale.
For some reason they ****** up the release over here (Holland). *sigh* guess it'll be a few weeks to wait..
I watched the movie tonight. It really was pretty good, a hell of a lot better then recent episodes. It had one section where the pacing was off, but other then that, it kept my attention as well as any good episode did. Granted, Im not of the crowd that though the "middle" seasons were all that, the Simpsons were never this really cutting edge show, and even the old ones arent that great nowadays. So I enjoyed the movie.
