Does anyone else ever experience Sleep Paralysis, its when your in between sleep and awake. You will wake up and your whole body is paralyzed for a few seconds and you hear strange sounds and even hallucinate. It happens to me sometimes and its very scary everytime. Just yesterday it happend to me a couple of times when trying to fall back asleep.Just wanted to see if anyone else has this problem.
yup used to get it quite bad. The trick is to try and wake yourself to get out of it- try moving your hand (note it takes ALOT of effort). Its grim and I hate it. If your dabbling in recreational stuff knock it on the head as its a sign your pushing your limits.
Surprising, no, I have never felt paralyized. Today I had a weird thing, I was basically dreaming, doing something, not sure what, went to pick something up, and realized I was touching my blanket like I was picking it up. So I was basically moving in my dream and not at the same time.
Yeah, I get it all the time. Crazy ass shit. Only once did I hallucinate, and man, did it suck. Freaked me out. Felt like I was in an episode of Twin Peaks. I don't think I had ever volunatarily hallucinated at this point in my life though.
I had bloodwork done for a bullshit research project once. My arm was brused pretty badly a few nights after this one night I woke up couldn't feel or move my arm I touched it it was cold as ice So I take my working arm and wiggle my dead one and from my sholder I feel this rush of blood go right into my arm felt so good.
I used to get this, i didn't hallucinate i was just paralized and i coudln't breath, it was strange because i used to be able to make myself do it :S
I don´t think it is a good thing, when I weighed MUCH more than I do now, there once (and only once), there my arm was in that state for two days. And it sucked , since even though I could use the arm, and all that. Then it felt like it that feeling, after you fall asleep on your arm. So now, I don´t weigh that much (I still weigh too much). But I think you have to be fat like me , and weigh more than me. Before it gets critical. But still it is good to be careful. Back then when it happened, there my weight was 152.5 kilograms, now adays I am down to 130 kilograms. And it is over 7 years ago, I weighed 152.5 kilograms. But back then, there I was on some serious shitty medicine, that gave me the munchies without the high. Literally speaking, I had no stop button when it came to my appetite. Thank goodnes, that I am clean as a whistle when it comes to medicine nowadays.
Yeah, for the longest time I was very afraid when it happened to me as a child. My mind couldn't exactly cope with the situation, so characters from my nightmares would fill my room as if to be the cause of the paralysis, which really freaked me out. Haven't had it happen much in the past few years, and I am very thankful. Its a state of lucid dreaming, so you do have some control... like it was mentioned above you can try and move your body to wake yourself up but it takes tremendous effort to do so. Calling for help usually only results in a whisper. Fun stuff!
Well at least Im not the only one who gets this,I told my buddy about it and he thinks Im crazy lol.But the last time it happened I did hallucinate, which was pretty scary.
Agreed! Damn you programmer, fix us! But yeah, This has happened to me around 3 times that I can recall, and it is freaky as hell! Its scary when its happening, but thinking back on it I love the feeling. I wish it would happen more. It happened once and as soon as I snapped out of it it felt like someone was shaking my bed like crazy. I was freaked out! Hahahaha!
no no, patch 1.01 has a problem with the bladder functions, you do NOT want it. You're going to want 1.03, which fixes it plus adds the lucid dreaming toggle.
The worst thing I've happened to me is more of a nightmare. I'll believe I'm in my room (or some place equally familiar/realistic) and something godawful is happening. Either that, or I'll just have a feeling of absolute dread. I "wake up," though, so I doubt it's the same thing. I also get the thing where I'll almost be asleep, and then I'll think I'm falling and I'll jump up. This is more annoying than anything.
