I would say it's all the 360 devkits on the marketplace.

If there was an un-dying 360 devkit that could play retail, I gladly invest in it. It has to be more quiet than the retail version in all ways too.

360 paranoia has kept me away from my 360 and its countless good games, it's a paradox!

Really, once again, a person who ask for betas for its 1st post.

Honestly that's clearly strange. I'm not talking about this one in particular, but there is so manynewcomers asking directly on first post for debug hardware or software.

Barc0de, the Falcon 360 (the ones with 173 W power supply and 65 nm. 173 W doesn't mean falcon, but 203W tells it can't be one.) are much more reliable. You should try you know.

I think my first post here was asking for an NR Reader or a way to transfer data off of an NR disc. Though I'm sure this rash of newcomers is suspicious and some measures need to be taken, not all new users asking odd questions have corporate ties.

With me, finding ASSEMbler was an act of necessity. Some users are probably the same way. Just playing devil's advocate :) That being said, access to certain forums should be privledged, such as the marketplace. a post requirement should be used.

Well if you knowingly buy stolen goods, then that is against the law. The key word there is knowingly. They would have to have some kind of proof that you knew what you were buying was stolen from someplace. As Mr. Snow says, just owning a piece of dev equipment isn't illegal. It's not like these are assault rifles or nuclear centrifuges or whatever.

So, if a dude comes on here and starts trying to pawn off a bunch of Ps3 devkits and he's dropping hints that they fell off the back of a truck, then that would be suspicious behavior.

It would make more sense that they would try to buy a devkit from one of you guys, and in the process try and get information as to where it originally came from, so they could find out who broke the contract (or outright stole from them, as most of these devkits are leased, correct?)

Well, i asked for a Debugging station on my... hum... 4 th post I think.

i'm not saying everything is suspicious of course.

Hawanja, I think you're right. The only problem is that $ony, Micro$oft and Nintendo (no $ in name ... not fun!) don't care about the law.

They see devkit, you're in for trouble. knowingly or not!

Can I request a temporary ban on asking for Xbox 360 hardware in the marketplace? The number of requests has gotten ridiculous in the last couple of days, all of which are very suspicious.

    I agree with you.

Instead of banning items may I make a suggestion we add a marketplace under this area. That way on dev hardware we know we are offering it to long term members. As for people asking for hardware if new and you dont knwo them just dont reply

    good idea.

One thing though. I think that only current gen hardware should be sold here.

I see no reason restricting sales of debug ps1, do you?

but yes, as we proceed with sensible software, we should do the same with hardware.

One thing: instead of no answer, we could just reply "sorry mate, i don't know"

I also agree on a separate marketplace here for such items.
