Who said DOA was better? is just popular, and considering what a nobody it was in the past we can safely say is more popular than ever... Oh, so all those arcades going out of business in the entire western hemisphere are actually booming? Lets face it, arcades are either dying or already death outside japan, and even there arcades are exactly going through a golden age...
Arcades outside of Japan are a moot point... we're talking about 3 Japanese franchises though. Makes some sense that a favored series should be able to hold it's own in the original medium the genre started in, no? Fighting is the one genre that still brings in heaps of money to arcade operators... even an old doujin game like Melty Blood still has people playing it.
There's hardly any arcade games in the UK these days Never played DoA arcade... only on the consoles. VF gets attention here, but Tekken is the winner... not sure why... mass marketing.... controls?
They took the idea of VF.net, and still made a viable sequel. The problem with VF5 is it feels like a tweaked VF4 in HD.
I love it, but why I'm currently stuck on this dumbass lightening boss. Since I have low health and no healing items and the game autosaved before the boss, I'm at a loss of what the fuck to do. Do the testers not point this dumb shit out, or did they not use testers? I'm about to kill someone.
They probably do. Some things sneak through though. Cave's latest can be counter stopped at 1 point under 100 billion before entering the second loop. That's kind of the big rage on the shooting scene now.
The autosave in Max Payne 2 was even worst: it saved when I was in the middle of a bridge avoiding enemy fire and falling 4 floors to my deathOH: So I had to replay almost the entire level all over again, simply becos there were no saving points between the beginning and the end:banghead:
I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 today on Warrior. Game was awesome. It had its cheap moments, but through and through it was just a solid challenging and well made game. Good stuff! Almost makes me want to go snag DMC4... though I know it'll be a vastly inferior game. Final boss is most excellent too. Those that played through Ninja Gaiden 2 (NES) will definitely smile a little.
I had a similar problem in Onimusha 2. I saved the game right before a battle with some guy named "Gogendantes" on the beach. I had VERY little health and the battle was hard as hell. I think I had to cheat to get past that part.
Jesus, I remember that shit. =( I like NG2 a lot, but seeing as I'm a pretty angry person, I get pissed off when I do die and have to replay a long part. I'm on stage 5. Hopefully I'll get to sit down and play it properly on my day off.
I'm on chapter 7. I gotta say Ninja Gaiden 2 feels more faithful to the NES games than the XBOX original. Almost pure action no puzzles (so far) minimal find stuff. Awesome boss fights (but they seem far too easy at times) I love the weapons all of them are useful. The only real issue is that I buy too many healing items I can level up my weapons. I don't know if I'll beable to level everything up before the end of the game.
Thats exactly how I feel about it. Which is why I love it much more than the original. And the final boss fight is just... oh man. And don't worry, you'll probably have more than enough to level up all the weapons. I had a spare 60,000 yellow essence by the end.
I'm stuck on the 2 boss battles at the end of CH 7 Genshin uses up all my heath and the monster after the crash kicks my ass and when it did beat me.....I got blowded up. another complaint......why name the agent Sonia? she's with the CIA...why not just have her be Irene? It's just not Ninja Gaiden without Irene. Also more plot nitpicking............the story makes Zero Sense. Ok We start in Tokyo......AWESOME then we find the Hayabusa Village is under attack. Hey it's that bridge we fought the horse monster during the first game...cool. Continuity rules...... By Ch 3 what Continuity. How do we go from the Hayabusa Ninja Village to New York and more so......from new york to venice. The story basically makes no sense. Not that it matters because the action is awesome. But like....continutiy dudes......use it.
Um... because that would be a major plot hole for when she shoots Ryu in the original Ninja Gaiden and then later introduces herself to him. :110:
Just read some rumor that 36 more developers are leaving and they're all planning to sue Tecmo for unpaid bonuses for completed games.
So the NES games I guess would take place after NG XBOX.DOA 1-4, NG II Then again in the NES games The Elder Hayabusa was named Ken. Hmmmmm, somebody must be kicking himself.
