I predict it will take 2 hours for this to turn into a flame war.

Anyway, I've used all 3 extensively and I prefer Mac OS X. It's attractive, reliable, fast, easy-to-use, and it can do virtually anything (except games) as good or better than Windows. It's also great for video.

Used to be a Windows/Linux dual boot kinda guy, but ever since I got my iBook G4 I just cannot get over how wonderful the OS is. I mean, if it has a proper maximise command it would be pretty much the perfect OS. Oh and did I mention how pretty it is? :p

Games are a non-issue with the OS though as the only decent game I have really felt the need to play on the iBook is Rise of Nations. Not that it can do any better XD

I use Windows 7. The warranty on my laptop is running out, and I've been thinking about a Macbook, but then again, I like playing games and don't like paying inflated prices for hardware.

    wich? wich?!

Y U NO USE SPELL CHECK!?

Anyway, Windows 7 for me... Can't stand Mac and it's limitations, it's an OKAY OS, but I wouldn't pay for it. Linux is a beautiful OS and wish it was more supported

I use windows 7 almost exclusively at the moment, but I will hopefully be getting a Dell inspiron mini soon and was vaguely considering doing an OSX86 installation on it, all my other attempts worked but were a bit rubbish and I can't afford to buy a real mac.
Oh and I also have an old laptop running puppy linux which I use from time to time haha.
Windows tends to be my favourite though, more due to familiarity than the merits of each individual OS though.

Windows 7 at the moment. I use Linux (Lubuntu) on my school laptop, although I've tried Xubuntu, Ubuntu 11.10 on there and I had Gentoo installed on it at one point for kicks.

Glad that we are all mature and this hasn't become a flame war. Anyhow to clarify there are games out for osx. Most of Steam's source engine games have been ported to mac; half life 2, half life 2 episode one, half life 2 episode two, left 4 dead 1, left 4 dead 2, tf2, css, portal 1, portal 2 and most of the gta games. Granted there is not as many game for Mac as Windows.

Linux all the way! I don't even have WINE installed.

I stopped using Windows in 2007. I think I still have the install disc for Feisty Fawn around here somewhere.

After using Linux, I saw no need to go back to windows. I don't play new games, so that was moot.
Sometimes it takes a while to get something working, but it is very rewarding.

Windows. You can buy any network card and it will work.

Linux? I hope you have 20 minutes to find or make a driver, and you better have internet access to find out how to make the driver.

Once it's running, it's o.k., powerful for business but miserable for normal use.

Favorite? Linux. Plug&Play most of the time, but if it's not, good luck. I wish the hardware makers would properly support it.
So i use Windows 7 for my daily stuff and Linux when i want to be geeky.
Surprised at the amount of Maclovers btw. Srsly?

    In all honesty, Windows

Why? I work for a living. At work, anyone who is anyone uses Windows. We dont' have time to faff about with Linux distros, nor does Mac OS X add any really compelling features for the high price of admission.

    Windows. It's a standard.

People tend to forget that iOS is based on Mac OS X.

Anyway, I forgot to mention I dual-boot Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and Windows 7.
