http://comic-con.gamespot.com/story/6270125/namco-vs-capcom-prepped-as-pair-of-crossover-fighters I will only ask this once HOW THE HELL WILL THIS EVEN WORK?
if you like tapping buttons and waggling the stick back and forward, tekken. if you like tapping buttons and making quarter and half circles, street fighter lol Really tekken is sort of like if sf and vf had a child. I'd rather play VF 4 or SF III 3rd
It sounds as horrific, tekken characters with projectiles will surely be street fighter EX all over again. They just need to get things over and done with and make Everything vs Everything.
I think it sounds pretty nice actually...at least the SF version, since I dislike Tekken. Besides, it's not like Tekken is the only franchise from Namco that could be featured in this.
Doesn't tekken already have projectiles in limited form? I seem to recall the devils/angels having eye laser beams. But ya, I know what you ment.
*Remembers that old Tekken 2 VS Virtua Fighter 2 hack for the Megadrive and shudders at what might be...*
VF4 Evo is the best 3d figthing game, IMO, but the Tekken series is very good. My fav. are Tekken 2, 3 and 5.
IN SF only a few characters actually have projectiles everyone else is close range. My Dream fight of Cammy VS Nina will soon come true...
I'm not a fan of Teken at all. I just don't like the way it controls or feels. Virtua Fighter for me when it comes to 3D fighters.
I would much rather see Virtua Fighter VS Tekken (and not a 2d Hack) But this could be a fore runner to see how 2 games that are totally different from each other mesh and maybe (about 17 years too late) we'll get to see SF VS MK
Indeed VF4 Evo is a better game overall, but i like Tekken since the first one. I like how it mixes lots of fighting styles. It's more action than VF's technical style.
I'm excited but I'm also wary. The only way I see it working is if they offer different modes that add or remove projectiles otherwise I think the game balance will be all out of whack. Trouble is doing that is a sure fire way to piss off one group or the other. I sure hope they can strike the right balance.
Its likely that the Capcom team will be making the game THEIR way, with Namco characters being "envisioned" by Capcom and vise-versa.
I'm honest to god more hyped about a new model of toilet brush than any new Mortal Kombat game. Toshinden? I hope that series stays dead, it had to be one of the worst fighting game franchises ever.
I m looking forward to MK the way I was looking forward to MK II back when I was a kid. Here's to hoping they nail it this time.
