So Tekken VS Street fighter?

SF vs T has Tekken characters out of their element, and T vs SF has SF characters out of their element. :-\

I'm not llooking forward to it too much, though it looks cool. SF vs Xmen (and up to MVC) worked because Xmen isn't a fighting game franchise, and Capcom vs SNK worked because they're both 2D fighters.

the biggest thing that irks me is projectiles are a HUGE part of SF. Not all characters use it, but besides that it's a huge part of the game. Tekken doesn't...you can side step. Projectiles lose a LOT of thier ability in a 3D fighter...so...we'll see

 

That's a good point...actually, I can't think of a 3D fighter (with sidestepping and stuff) that really uses projectiles.

 

Battle Arena Toshinden? (Not being sarcastic, I just don't actually recall if it had sidestepping or not)

Though now that I think about it, all the 3D Mortal Kombats had sidestepping and projectiles.

Tekken has them. Devil/Angel fire lasers. Jack has a machine gun in some of the games.

Tekken 6 has item throw moves. The bears throw fish!

 

Before a fight a Flying saucer is seen above the stage...it lifts up it's Heihachi and he's doing the Eyebrows!

Why does Capcom insist on whoring their garbage onto the gaming world? Do we really need yet another SF game so soon? It's worse than Madden...

 

Somebody speculated the transfusion didn't work becuase I had Street Fighter EX 2 in the mix and the other games rejected it.

The game isn't even close to being completed anyway, so I have no problem with it

 

I think capcom with the huge success of SF4, is doing one big game every year.

This year was SSF4, next year will be MVSC 3, and the next SFvsTekken.

Its probably to make the corporate execs and bottom line people at capcom happy. They've renewed the fighting game franchise and are going to stick with it until SF vs Kirby comes out.

I'm not really a tekken fan, so the Capcom vs SNK excitement just isn't there for me. They probably should have went with a Darkstalkers follow up instead of the Namco deal to be honest.

It's not even going to be out until 2011+
So i'm sure they will both change a lot in that time

 

I would prefer they would release Virtua Fighter Vs Tekken but I don't mind to give a try on Tekken Vs Street Fighter with Street Fighter gameplay? But with Tekken gameplay? Hell no! Not only I hate Tekken (which in my opinion is overrated) but the idea of playing as Ruy with the Tekken gameplay sounds so wrong. It's like publishing a Metal Slug game with FPS gameplay.

I second that. After all, we have already a Capcom-Namco crossover with Namco X Capcom. I know, it's an rpg and not a fighting but still...
