so wait...engadget.com was laughed at in my "no revolution at E3" thread, but here they are taken as the truth? and that's kinda dumb how they cram everything on one side, which is kinda hard to cram inside that case. Why have the huge ass power button too? This looks boring and plain.
All the released pics, in one easy jpg! (that doesnt throw off the page format - I'm lookin at you Evangelion-01 ;-)
Sigh... if this is real, they've really disappointed me. I can't stand the name "X-Box 360", and I'm not too fond of this design either.
i think the design is pretty neat (if this is indeed the real deal). it's better than the xbox's looks that's for sure.
The design is alright and I like the controllers being wireless this time around, however I don't like the name Xbox 360. I prefer Xbox 2. Does anyone know if it will be backwards capable?
All i have to say to them is... "Relax, dont do it...." Fuck nooooo pleaseeeee tell me its not to be this... im ok with the xbox being abit ugly but this noo
I kinda like the design although I wish only the bottom (I like my systems stackable) was concave. I want to see it next to the current Xbox though to see if MS fixed the size problem.
Why the hell are the eject and power buttons the wrong way up compared to the memory card text? And i imagine that the socket next to the mem cards must be for charging controllers - unless the battery packs slot in next to the power button.
Looks pretty dull :-( Being on it's side improves it a little, but I don't like this whole vertical idea. Cool power button though, I like it. And, Xbox 360 does suck. What's wrong with Xbox2? It's what it is. It's what it should be called. I'm never going to say Xbox360 out loud. Never.
xbox 360 is still not confirmed but it's the most probable candidate for now. the idea behind xbox 360 and not xbox 2 is because MS didn't want to make it seem inferior to the PS3. some ppl might make a connection "hey, 3 is bigger than 2 so let's get the PS3". i hate 360 too, they should have thought it over a little more at Redmond.
am i the only one who saw that the eject button in the first picture posted, and the eject button from the first pic sonikku posted (top left corner), isn't pointing the same direction? and compare the letters of the memory card slots between the to shots, different too. anyway, could be proto. design.
And look at the pictures under that - they're different again. There's a kinda grating thing at the left end of the drive tray, and the memory card slots are narrower...
yeah, looking at it more closely, there's alot of differences betweens the shots. the color of the tray, the open sign. the caracter on the memory card slot, the buttons right to the memory card slots, the power button, the width of the memory card slots, the shape of the top (sometimes flat, other times curved), the left side of the machine, the widht of the engine (just look at how much space there's between that black hole and the limit of the console in each images), the dots on the right, the shape of the left side (sometimes convex while other times concave) the lines on the tray, the open and on\off button are sometimes into a hole, other times the pop out of the machine and that strange looking ''door'' (?) at the right. did i won something?
the first picture in the thread could or should only be a rendered image and the photos later in the thread are maybe prototypes in different stages of design you know they experiment sometimes with the looks of some little gizmo =)
