So this is teh xbox 360.....

I just hope it's not the same size of the first one. Not joking, the Xbox is bigger than my old Pioneer DV-535 DVD player!

 

i made these superimposed pics of an xbox and xbox 360. the scaling was decided by comapring the DVD trays since we all know DVDs will stay the same size.

1st: compared using dvd trays over one another


2nd: compared from upper-left corners, the red lines are where the 360 ends

 

if these pictures are near the final product, you can tell everyone they won't need to build an extension for their houses, since the Dvd tray shouldn't be alot bigger than a disc, and that a bit more than two tray could be placed one after the other without any problem. Now you'll tell me that the xbox could have two disc tray on the front without any problem, the shape of the xbox 360 is rectangular, unlike the xbox, wich is basicly a big square, so the lmachine will probably be a bit longer, but less deeper.

1. Have they learned nothing? Seems like this potential new Xbox is only a bit smaller.

yeah and the concave just makes shit worse. I wonder how much space would get wasted putting a motherboard in there like it's shaped. I'm a fan of smaller things, not some stupid ass weird design that doesn't even look good. I'd think something smaller would seem more powerful and advanced, as opposed to a slightly smaller xbox but with concave sides and not black..OMG!!!11 I mean, I had a fucking VCR that's smaller than the xbox.

I'm still imagining it falling over when I see that pic. It looks like it will stand vertical, and the vertical pic in this thread is upside down if you go by icons. All the shit like the drive and memory card slots, and even what looks to be an add-on HDD will be at the top while the bottom looks pretty plain and empty...oops it fell over again.

but hey, this is MS, and i'm no console designer..so whatever.

Holy crap here we go again with "the xbox is so damn ugly" crap again. Face it, if its from microsoft most people will always find something to piss and moan about with it. There the big evil so no matter what they do it will be critisized over and over even if it was the best damn thing ever created.

I love the origional design, just for what it was, as I will the next cause all systems are cool for what they are and if its ugly, big, small or what ever, that adds to its caracter. After all people its just a console...to play media on....its not guna help you pick up chicks no mater what it looks like.

Based on this size thing i can bet that this isnt real. If your size images are correct then this console is the same size as the xbox and Japan would never have that. MS have already shown that they are trying greatly to please the japanese market so i doubt this is real.

Let's hope it is not the final design, I'm sure MS will come up with a better design than that.

Altough being able to move around Xbox 2 without the need of a truck will be already a great achievement over Xbox
