Ok found problems with the pictures... http://www.geocities.com/pex2beta/360_pics.jpg Look at the eject button on top left of the picture. http://www.talfi.net/e107/e107_files/public/xbox360org19iz5ow_b.jpg Look at the eject button here. Both are different. Also the cd trays are different. Then go back to the first picture and look at the word memory and then look at the second picture and look at the word Memory. Also apears to be a different font. Now look at the first picture again and loook to the top/ right of the "on" button and look at how different it looks on the second picture. The first picture also has two round little things next to the memory card slots and the first picture has one. Sooo many differences...
The one in the real photos looks way better I think. Also, you must realise that it's not in production yet, so you can't compair these pics as there will be many different 'version' laying around right now.
Meh i posted it in another forum and thought would post it here too! oh well teach me to pay more attention!
According to the brazilian game news website Outerspace, that is a memory card. And they say some more stuff, that i pictured here:
Memory cards? It seriously isn't going to ship with an HDD? weaksauce. I like the complete lack of controller ports, does that mean that due to the wireless, you'll be able to link 8 or 12 controllers into a single unit w/out a device like a multitap? I'm not digging the silver, I liked the idea of white better. I really, really don't like the 'Xbox 360". I liked "Xenon".
well they want you to buy the HDD, like the dipshit idea to force people to buy the DVD playkit thing. It's a way to not have to absorb costs into the unit I guess. And from what I understood, you press the button on the front of the console and it activates controller keys for each controller around so that you don't have to switch them to a frequency or channel or whatever.
The dvd kit thing saved you money. Thats to those that dint buy it. As it covers licences and things.
Except a sensible console would have sold for the same price and let you play DVD's. you don't really think MS would charge more if the Xbox could play dvds - it would still be priced ~equally to the PS2
or they could realize that people see the ps2 and xbox side by side at the same price, when the ps2 plays DVD's out of the box without requiring you to buy a damn control for $30 I believe it was way back when. I know so many people that own a videogame console to play DVD's.
From a design standpoint, it looks unique enough and seems to match the current styling seen in DVR recorders and Tivo boxes to some degree. Not sure why so many are lamenting the design, but I guess you can't please everyone. Then again, I'm one of the few that actually liked the current Xbox despite its size and relatively no-frills design...to me it looks like a game console in the traditional sense. Not some gimmicky purple lunch pail with a plastic handle.
That was a cheap shot to the lovely little gamecube Anyway, in terms of size i have no problem with the Xbox - infact i like the size because it means it has a tray loading drive, and therefore you can stack other consoles on top. The original PS2 i find far uglier with its 80's video player design, and general flimsyness feeling
I'll give the xbox credit, you can stack at least 3 consoles on top of it..a feature that sadly looks like is on the outs with a concave design...thanks alot MS
