Seems like Sony is moving in the opposite direction when it comes to digital media delivery. Restricting choices? Give me a break.

Sony are just being stupid with this in my opinion. I wonder what they would say if all movie makers stopped their movies from running on the PS3? Actually, that could be an interesting move.

Or being dicks. There movies, not games...are Sony going to block me from using a Playstaton on my Olevia TV? Or watching a Sony DVD on my non Sony TV? It's not like that I know :110: but it's sort of the same thing.

And why the rest of movie makers would do that?

If Sony want to offer in ps3 (and other services) his movie catalog in exclusive, what is the problem?

Is only restricting this in x360, which means that your rival hasn't things you have. Netflix (regular service) and apple store or other services haven't this restriction.

I really don't see the problem.

Is like when ms only offered hd-dvd for x360, and blu-ray? Isn't better to offer both? But blu-ray "was" Sony ... etc etc

I don't think Sony is doing anything wrong. It's not like they are blocking their films or music cds on the 360, they're just choosing where they want to sell their films, and, at least for now, they aren't interested (for whatever reason) in selling them on the 360.

Way to blow it out of proportion guys...it's only the Columbia-Tristar lineup (Sony owns more than just this studio) and it appears to be a licensing issue between NetFlix and Sony for those movies.

"This issue is not specific to Xbox or any other individual platform," said a Sony Pictures spokesperson. As reflected in Netflix's comments on the sans-Sony situation, it's all just a matter of licensing. "

Then, now the rest of the catalog is available?

Now the "fanboys" against sony maybe have to erase his comments ... (i'm joking):110:

But it is specific to the Xbox.

The titles are available for streaming on every platform --except-- the 360.

And they used to stream just fine on the 360.

Sony specifically pulled the licensing just for the 360.
