Um... actually you're wrong Taucias (about the first part). To find the exclusives for the PS3 I went to IGN and went down their reviewed games list. To find the exclusives for the Xbox360 I... OMG did the exact same thing. And then off the top of my head I listed what was coming out during the holiday season. I missed a bunch of 360 games as well as some PS3 games. So... you're entire rant there is completely invalid. And like I said, you have no idea who will have more exclusives in a year. You know why? BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHAT MS IS PUTTING OUT NEXT YEAR! No one. They've got Mistwalker, they've got Rare, they've got Bungie, I'm pretty sure Real Time Worlds only works with them, and they have a bunch of IPs too. In fact, I would imagine if Q? is making something new, it will wind up on the 360. Treasure is making something for the 360 too. In so far as "Who gives a fuck about Scene it and Fuzion Frenzy 2?" Uh... OK, who gives a fuck about Haze and Lair? Or Afrika? Or Buzz!? Jesus. In so far as "I added a lot of stuff coming out this year that you just ignored RAH!" Yeah, that whole Afrika/Final Fantasy XIII Versus/MAG/GT5/Infamous/Sly 4/God of War 3/Killzone 2/Tekken 6/Jak & Daxter 2008 holiday season we got coming up... yeah, thats gonna be pretty impressive isn't it? Also, in so far as me "skewing" results. Umm... I didn't list Ridge Racer 6 and Full Auto (for the 360), because they're virtually the same thing as Ridger Racer 7 and Full Auto 2 (which are basically updates of the latter), which happen to be on your list but not on mine. Mmhmm. :fresh:
Probably no one gives a fuck about Buzz, Afrika, but you didn't put them on your list. If you're counting the numbers and comparing them to prove a point, then you'd better make that list or count comprehensive, otherwise you are skewing results and your argument is invalid. It's that simple.
Reading is awesome. Now dear sir, what year is Afrika coming out in again? I'll give you Buzz!, but then again, I listed shit like MAG in which we have no idea when its getting released. So I'm sure it balances out in the end.
http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/afrika/?ref=rss Afrika is out August 2008. MAG is out next spring, Motorstorm 2 is out this autumn (you had that in the first list, but I'm reading your quote), Singstar is out next spring, White Knight Chronicles is due before the end of this year. You're skewing the argument to suit yourself.
  Wow... you're sad. The only thing you just mentioned that wasn't on my original list is Afrika.   Fact remains kiddo: 360 currently has more exclusives. By the end of 2008, the 360 will still have more exclusives. Neither of us knows which will have more exclusives by the end of 2009. And the fact of the matter is: is an untrue statement. The PS3 does not currently have more exclusives than the 360, and will not have more exclusives by the end of the year. Which is the only thing I've been trying to say. What the situation will be in 2-5 years is irrelevant to what I'm talking about. But I don't think "2009" works with the word "has" in the original statement, which implied present tense.
I really think thats going to be one of the funnest multiplayer games ever, and have awesome single player. Yeah, it's a shooter, but its pretty unique. I dunno if anyone else liked the first one, but I did. It had a cool art style, lots of violence, cool weapons, and wasn't just another FPS. The multiplayer eventually started sucking though, because all the people act retarded, the host advantage.lag, glitches etc. but it does show that people played it a ton, I guess. It's still kind of fun to play.
Region limitation and release Afrika will not be released in PAL territories. Instead, the game shall only be released in the Japanese market ^ well fuck me =/
I have had a 360 since it came out, but recently got the PS3. I think they both have their advantages, so neither is fucked. I have been losing faith in the 360 as of late though. I believe that sony will outsell microsoft. Right now, I think they have the superior product. XBL was the real reason to own a 360 before, but sony has updated their dash so that you have basically the same features now. PS3 pros: Bluray Easy Linux Installation (which runs very smooth) PSN Store (more browsable and quicker than XBL) Built in HDMI since release Cons: Game selection isnt too amazing yet, but I do have some games I love to play and a lot more are coming out very soon. Expensive 360 pros: Halo and Halo wars Cheaper Games In-game music (PS3 was supposed to have this, but none of the developers have actually added the support in game) Cons: 3 flashing fucking red lights (has happened to everyone I know with 360) No HDMI in original release (bullshit and I'm not buying a new 360 for it)
This is the best bit of news i've read all day, and it even beats my mate who's XBOX 360 Elite has just got the 3 red lights.
Agrees! It's a bit fanboyish to refer as a system as fucked, merely because it didn't get exclusivity for a particular game. Sure, exclusivity will help some system sales, but one title isn't a KO punch. Additionally, titles often start exclusive, only to appear on other systems later on. Neither system is going away anytime in the near future. I'm actually the other way around - I've had (and been quite happy with) a PS3 from not long after launch, but recently got a 360 (I waited a long time fearing the RROD issues). Both machines are great in their own way & I'm pleased to now have access to both software libraries. I wish that I had $5 for every pointless system X > system Y discussion that's popped up recently - I could afford to buy more stuff! :110:
The failure or sucess of these two consoles depends on the mainstream, like it always was. Of all those pros the only thing casuals will care about in the PS3 is cheap bluray (and maybe free online play). Now that wouldnt pose a treat to X360's superior catalog, if it wasnt for the RLOD which are more dangerous than anything sony can come up with.
Ubuntu works very well for playing media and browsing the web. Maybe you tried Fedora? That version was slow. I doubt it works much better on the 360; though, I haven't tried. It is better to have it than not have it, and I actually make use of it.
YellowDog Linux is crap, completely useless, can't even run a 640x480 video without it looking like shit.
and what's with the "10GB either OS" partitioning shit going on, regardless of Disk space?! Linux on the Ps3 is elementary and not a real Pc substitute unfortunately.
Tell me about it, I have a 250GB hard drive, thought I would be able to make a nice big partition to act as a media centre without needing the PC to stream, and the thing is slow as hell and not big enough a partition to be of any real use. Other than that, really happy with my PS3, don't know what all the naysayers are going on about. It's a great machine, has some great games, and the fact I can copy my own shit to the hard drive (as opposed to on the 360) is a godsend.
