I guess you didn't understand the question properly.

How can you legally distribute the hacked version of SC5 pt. 2? Don't get me wrong it is a cool enough idea etc I'd happily lend my voice provided you don't mind my accent or me regularly saying 'fu*k' but it is an important question -_-

Maybe there is a clause or something which could support the case, but usually for everything thtat could potentially be in your favour there are double the amount of barriers making it illegal to distribute -_-

 

the game will be distributed via a patchign system. None of the original games files will be provided, so there for its fully legal. You are expected to have your own copy of the game in order to apply it and there will be a method of protection to prevent users from patching the game unless they own the original software. Making and distributing the patch is fully legal. However, using this patch is illegal in a sense. People from other countries are not bound by this dmca garbage thus making them suitable candidates to test or if they dotn mind the risk of being caught (not likely at all, who the heck is gonna know where you live by your online alias). As for your voice, accents of all kinds are welcome. However i dont think cursing will do too much for us -_-.

it looks great rayer: , it would be better if you just add subs and leave japanese voices. i am personally used to read subtitles since i am from mexico and most movies are subbed, so is not there hard just our british and american friends will have problems, but i doubt anyone else will :smt019 ,grandia for saturn ?

You'll find that most Britis and I'm sure Americans too prefer the original Japanese voices. Everyone that I know will always go for the subtitles over the dub.

ill have a later version of the video up soon. Should fix alot of cosmetic issues and fix 2 mistranslations, one I just forgot to put in, the other (where I had Ulala follow my instructions) I belive is something like show them what your made of based on what my friend is telling me. So I must have heard wrong. (which is OK because i had trouble with it anyway) the URL is the same, file size is 27.4 megs now. I upped the quality.

His hard drive crashed and the last copy he had was from a tester and it was 30 days old. Or something of that matter.

 

naw, I got hit with w95.cih... just as nasty though, if not more so. My laptop had been out for 4 months and they returned it (got it last firday) in worse condition then when I had sent it in. Im currently trying to handle legal troubles regarding it being they wont cover sh*t.. which pisses me off. The only real time I can work on it is at my friends house. At school I cant bring anything and work uses macs, at home my dad is paranoid so I cant use the family comp as I was using before. I REALLY want to get a patch out to display at ACEN this year for a panel I am pretty sure I'll be running, but I won't know for sure for a little while yet. Whatever the case, if things cant be done, I can release it in its current state (as horrible as it is), but I want rewrite my patching program so people can only apply it to their original games before I release it if thats to be done.
