You can't use those in tournaments? Do you go to tournaments every day? lol They have some wired controllers on amazon and such for around 20$. I would sell you mine but I actually can't find it, I'm thinking a friend has it. Ever notice the wireds have a stronger green light and rumble? I don't like the way they feel, I like the battery block in the back for some reason.
my brother has a battery too. Think about this. Think about going to Evo, the largest american tournament for fighters. If EVERYONE had wireless controllers - don't you think there'd be interferance? There can only be so many signals - anyone who's been to PAX when 50,000 DS's are being ran can attest to this.
4 hours into the game and I still haven't beat the Final guy, Seth. It's either the sucky PS controller, my lack of skill or the fact that the game isn't that good, because I can't seem to get a "rythm" - despite being a master of Super Smash Bros Melee/Brawl and a big fan of Virtua Fighter 5, to name a few other fighting games i own and enjoy.
What difficulty? I don't think I've Seth more than twice on Normal (without continues) and one of them was with the Zangief trick. The PS controller does suck for fighting games, so you should probably look into buying a better one.
the final boss is a joke dude. even on the easiest difficulties. when you unlock him though, they toned him down major. lol @ henry playing SF in tournaments.
sure I can, despite being very different, all of the above require REALLY good coordination, speed, and especially in the case of Smash Bros, strategy. FYI I don't play just Final Destination with no items. On the contrary I m talking about the regular game with 6 stock lives. Smash bros games are very versatile and you can customize them which I love. Just because they re not your usual fighting game it doesn't mean that they lack depth compared to the titles tou mention - the battles are also certainly more engaging and epic too. Case in point, I ve been playing Melee with my mates ever since the GC's launch, up until now.
Yeah you can. Both of them I can hysterically fly off the battlefield, but in Smash Bros I can do it on a motorcycle.
I'm not saying Melee/Brawl are bad games, they're just not the same kind of fighting games as VF5 or SFIV, which I know is part of their charm.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m3gitYccuY&feature=channel_page i'd like to see anyone here play like the players in the above video. if you only knew all the advanced techniques they're pulling off in that video. wave dashing is just the beginning. it's kinda like, if you watch a Rainbow Six montage without ever playing the game, it won't impress you because you don't really know what was going on. Take the Just vs Daigo match at Evo. i thought it was cool the first time i saw it but when it was actually explained to me what exactly happened, my jaw was on the floor. i might be completely wrong, but most people here probably haven't played Melee enough to know about wave dashing, shine canceling, L canceling, DI, chain grabs etc. Melee is deeper than it looks. It's still not as deep as any SF game. there's like 20 more moves in a SF game, lol.
