Holy shit, what's with the horrible dubbing and cheap sega saturn animations? Just go watch the video for Rufus, man it curled my toes. Game seems pretty decent, if not a bit slow ( I guess intentional to deal with the latency). If you hurry to 7-11 they put some out for sale already.
got mine from 7 11 Pretty snazy game, Still really bad with a 360 controller. I need to get one of those arcade sticks.
Yeah - the anime scenes are definitely forgettable, if not funny. That stuff costs money to produce, you know! Don't worry ASSEMbler - the japanese dialogue is an unlockable bonus!
I was going to get this or Halo Wars or Resident Evil 5....and then decided I could probably buy 2 or 3 other games I missed out on for the price instead, then ended up buying nothing.
freaking blockbuster isn't getting it until friday. why were pushing preorders so hard only to receive the game 3 days after it comes out. corporate is ran by monkeys.
I've had my pre-order in for the CE since it was announced. It comes out here on Friday, so hopefully Amazon will be on the ball and I'll get it Friday or Saturday. I really can't wait. This is the first time I've been looking forward to a game this much in years. Once it arrives, we'll then start the countdown till the release of King of Fighters XII or BlazBlue.
HAHA! I played it for a bit in Gamestation the other day on a 360 pod. Not bad, although, it's just the 2D games with a 3D polish, it feels absolutely identical to SF2/3 only with a bad controller. I also found that the vibrancy differences between the characters and backgrounds was so slight I found it hard to follow the characters without my eyes relaxing and losing focus.
What I really want is the tournament arcade sticks, the retail price is $150 but its basically sold out, looking at Ebay prices that are around $300+!!! Both versions of the controller aren't as good as a arcade stick.
make yourself a hori 6 button PCE pad mod to connect it to the PS3 or X-BOX, and you wil get one of the best SF game pads of ever!
i seriously can't play this game with the 360 controller. time to save up for some sticks... anyone know of a mod for Saturn Virtua Stick to work on 360?
Same issue here, I've managed to F*** up the pad by playing it with a standard 360 controller...bad, bad idea.
I picked this up on release day over here and I have mixed feelings about it. I hate these 'special' moves each character has. It takes away any edge especially in the challenge section. Nothing worse than blasting through 20 stages on hard then getting it handed to you by running specials from Rufus. As people have said the 360 pad is not designed for this type of game at all. As the challenge mode goes on and you have to do the large combinations it becomes near impossible to get your thumb working as fast as your whole hand can. Unfortunately the sticks are just stupid money, £250 ish on ebay at the moment. I also think they should have included maybe one or two of the old style bonus rounds in there for nostalgia purposes. I am looking forward to taking some cash off my mates thought on Friday night. Might make my money back from all the burns I have been getting lately on GOW.
I have it for 360. It is a very good game but of course it dont feel like a milestone in Videogamehistory lik SF2 did. The 360 Controler realy sucks for SF4 and for SSF2HD. I guess i will make a SNES to 360 Pad Converter or so.
