Super Famicon (Snes) controller for Wii [Virtual Console]

For the Snes freaks out there, nintendo is going to sell in japan and through the nintendo club a classic Snes pad with GC controller plug, meaning it will work with the Wii right out of the box:thumbsup:




Lets hope nintendo decides to sell the controller outside of japan too.

Nintendo arent selling anything, It's given away free.

It plugs into the wii remote like the classic controller does.

That controller is one of the 3 gifts that platinum members can choose this year. The other two were a calander (umm yeah shit) & a 2 cd version of the mario galaxy ost.

Even though adapters do exist to use the "Real" SNES controller on the Wii, I would still love this.... "Official" one. :nod: :thumbsup:

Thank God I'm a platinum member I'm looking forward to this pad. One thing that must be said about Club Nintendo is that they really do support their fans unlike the shit in the UK. Remember the PC Wallpaper :lol:

indeed retrousb already offers a similar solution.

I mean sure its cool, but why should it plug into the GC port, when games like Super Mario World need a classic controller.

Because they hate their consumers. Seriously, only NoE can be bigger dicks then NoA. This is something I would honestly love to have for SNES virtual console games.

I'mean, the classic controller is fine and all, but this would be perfect for certain games...

 

Just a matter of time until this is available to the general public. Worldwide. Even platinum members won't get it for another five months. Pretty sure it will also be in the shops around that time.

Having said that I just ordered one via Club Nintendo.

Anybody wanting one now is probably going to have to use ebay or yahoo auctons.

The points period for this year is already closed as you have up till october to hit platinum ranking. Platinum member presents wont be sold in shops or anywhere else they are the most exclusive stuff club n offers.

None of the platinum presents so far have been for sale ie... Tv wii remote/ Gold mario figure/Tingles balloon fight/Mii designed wii remote covers.

 

I am fully aware of how club nintendo operates, but some people are willing to part with their accessories in exchange for money =)

You'll probably be able to get one easily though as yahoo & ebay tend to get flooded with stuff as it comes out.
