http://spoonman.roarvgm.com/cdi/mario.html anyone has got an image of it or has played it? Anyone wants to? I know I do. Too bad i don't own a CDi..just yet.
Check my site. I took brand new pictures and a video. http://ptoponline.com edit: http://www.ptop.aborman.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=32&Itemid=29
if I rememberd correctly I tried this out on a emu some month ago. can't remember how well it worked thought ;D
well.. all I can say is that it's hard to play on the emu (just tried it again). in the emu you used the mouse to move mario (I think.. atleast it made him move). xD
Who developed this game? Philips, Nintendo, or somebody else? If Nintendo didn't develop it, whoever did aparently took sprites and music directly from other Mario games.
Novalogic according to the intro screen and sources on the net. Something to read http://www.classicgaming.com/blackmoon/smww.asp
What are the game mechanics like ? Are they like Super Mario World ? Or a mixture of the old games ? Since the sprites reminds me alot of Super Mario World. And it could great, if somebody would make a romhack of SMW with the CDI game as an inspiration, if it is possible of course
Its a lot more work then you think, to even get what you see running on the CD-i required a lot of hacking. SMWW brief development time went mostly into the engine as far as I know
That damned disc costed a ton, and it was a bitch to rip (I had to mail it to an expert). Even though there's maybe five minutes of playtime, max, you guys should play it for hours and hours just to thank me.
We thank anyone that shares pieces of gaming history. Now only to get my dirty mits on an image of the disc myself
oh yeah, I think I read about it on somethingawful.com I think it's really cool that you went through all the trouble to release it. thanks
