Thanks for releasing it, TheRedEye. I've wanted to play this game since I first heard about it. I have a copy but don't have access to the emulator or a real CD-i yet. Does anybody have a link or a copy of the SomethingAwful thread? I don't have an account yet. Was there a story there or just general information?
I don't really remember.. actually I'm not even sure it was over there I read it but I'm like 95% sure it was there
Hello dudes, Im kinda new to forum and I have a question. Is it possible to back up your cd-i games to a regular iso for storage on my hdd? I will recieve my cd-i tomorrow but have not any games.. Is there any freeware available for download? thanx
there are cdi emulator for GNU/Linux??? i have a .iso that seems to be wacky world... but i cant test
Does anyone know how to properly burn this game so it works in a real cd-i? I so far tried by burnning the bin/cue in nero but all I get is a blue screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the original os screen of the cdi. Is there any special way to burn Super Mario's Wacky Worlds?
You know after playing the proto I definitely think it had potential. Another really cool thing that I've recently learned is that Silas Warner was a programer on this project. Silas Warner,as in the guy who created wolfenstein!!! He's the one who gave the interview at the black moon project. http://www.classicgaming.com/blackmoon/sta_silas.asp unless theres more then one Silas warner?
Anyone else notice that the icon on this topic is the Sanyo Try 3do and not a cdi. Most likely because there is no cdi icon.
Yep, there's a very early version of Frog Feast, if you want something to test. There is no gameplay, but it will boot: http://frogfeast.rastersoft.net/CDI.html
It was never a game since it was never completed. It would have likely been a good game, some go as far to say that it would've been the cd-i's best game, in fact. But, the prototype, which basically contains all the of the game that was developed, is not much fun . You can bascially run through a level, as mario and jump on enemies, which is sorta cool. Its a prototype and the levels are of course incomplete, you can't advance to the next level. But, its like super mario world except you can't very much. Just some test levels. Maybe if the DC homebrew scene complete the game based off the concepts and completed prototype it would be pretty cool.
Hmm..... after looking at the levels I do wish things were more stable. E.g. you could actually kill the enemies and the levels were more concrete with defined boundaries. Maybe a nice overworld map. I do wish someone with some cd-i skills would piece together this game into something more playable. Not adding levels or anything but, just refining things, adding goals and score and maybe a level overworld.
