I kinda agree with the activist on the decadence of the whole thing. Hunting is one thing, but unnecessarily killing animals by remote control is just stupid.

I read about this on Cruel.com, seems a little excessive to me. I could understand if you were a seasoned hunter who got turned into a parapalegic in a car accident or something, but seriously, do we really need to be shooting deers over the internet?

 

I wonder why we need to be shooting deers at all... a real sport would hunt with a knife/barehanded!

I think the rifle with the camera idea wasnt too shabby, though. If it could be put to Military use, you could snipe enemies from your own home or something. To the soldier, it would be just like a video game. No pressures, unless you mess up and kill someone on your side.

You can charge like $500 a kill plus an hourly fee and you get the meat sent to you if it can be sent to your country which I think is possible.

I implore you to elaborate. I think they have a point, there are enough humans on this planet and nothing gives us the right to kill/maim them for our enjoyment or because it looks good on the fireplace.

Yes, animals kill animals to eat. Say, species A preys on species B. At one point, species B will become nearly extinct in that area, so species A's numbers fall, too. That will make species B more abundant again, and so on it went for thousands and thousands of years, and then humanity came along. They kill animals (or rather, prey on nature in general) too, also "for sport" this time, but when they have made their prey extinct they just move on to another one due to the technical advantage and the ability to adapt. I'm no expert on this, but it seems that for instance native Americans lived off the land without destroying the environment, whereas the Romans are responsible for extinction of several species such as the European lion.

But I digress.

*Sigh* before the America bashing begins, let me say that we're a very diverse, complex and divided country. If you're going to make comments or be sarcastic, direct your voice at a specific group of Americans because blanketing our country is just as ignorant as us blanketing your continent.

 

If these guys get off on killing something, they should be first in line to get shipped off to iraq.. why not?? Oh, thats right they dont want to be put in harms way themselves... hunting is NOT a sport, its killing.. Like the other guy said, maybe with a knife it would be ok. But a gun against a deer that has NO defence, is just wrong... The only time its ok to kill another animal is if its in pain, or if your doing it for food.. To hang a head on a wall is not a good reason...

 

Deer are pretty good animals to hunt, since they are one of the smartest animals around. They can hear and smell hunters well, and they know when hunting season is about to begin.
I live in the South in America, and I go Hunting with my Dad. I would rather play Video Games, But my Mom wants me to go with Dad, so we can "bond". /)
We eat what we kill, and share what we kill at our camp. We use the whole thing, too. We get what we want, and we feed the rest to the dogs, and they eat it all up. We dont treat it as a sport, we just like the taste of Venison. :smt042
But If the deer has a good rack, we mount the head. Havent did that in a while.
And on AWS comment on Aninal rights activists being full of shit, I think he was referring to when "Big City" folk come down here and start shit about why hunting (Even if you will eat it) is cruel and evil. Around Ashdown, there was going to be a duckhunt for food, and the Animal rights guys showed up and scared all the Ducks away. I think that one activist that shot the guy with the internet hunting thing, needs to look at Human rights, instead of gawking at animal rights all day.
