Added to the list. Also have a surprise from a friend I've known a couple years that I was given with permission to share. So enjoy
Just in case anyone was still curious: in the last thread when I said something about how the next Lost Levels thing was a really important game, it was Star Raiders 2 for the Atari 800. I never got around to doing anything with it, so it got released by someone else.
I'm hoping that huge binder of Sega Saturn protos you were doing with Steve Lin make it onto this list!
There should be some recovery programs that skip them so you can get some of the data anyway. Im having an issue with a disk that seems like it has data on it (visually anyway), but it must have been a bad burn since nothing shows up. But even recovery programs dont like it. Frustrating.
Yeah but I'm 0/3 with drives freezing consistently when ripping around bad sectors. I have one more drive to try though.
Ah yeah, thats the tough trial and error part of it all. I have a disk that locks up a couple of my drives and spits out all sorts of weird errors.
I can recall the classic program CDRWin letting me skip bad sectors back in the day. That doesn't solve the driver itself freezing, though.
Thanks to TheRedEye's twitter, I noticed Wing Force, an unreleased arcade shooter, got released today. I posted a link in the main post, but feel uncertain how long it will stay up. This year is getting off to a great start.
Depending on the damage, this should work: http://www.cdroller.com/ it reads through errors & recovers what it can I'm pming u the fully registered ver
It's January 10th, the release date for MegaMan 64 in North America. Maybe it's not everyone's favorite version but it was a good effort for those who didn't have a PS1 to play the game. With the help of Legends fans, we managed to recover and dump the contents of a development cartridge for MegaMan 64 with full access to debug options. It's excessively early in the porting process as well! Controls are very simple. At the title screen use C-Right to bring up the main debug options. During dialog boxes, cutscenes, or bossfights you can use C-Right plus C-Up at the same time to bring up the SCE_FLAG options which controls what effects are active in game all the way to what items are currently in your possession. The link to the rom can be found here: https://mega.nz/#!C4IzDaBA!mWkvyETOmw4Z7vqv5CCE4iEAQW_muieE0_O17jilJGU And a HUGE thanks to @Bobo Mcloud for getting the cart and being willing to dump its contents! And thanks @Keiji Dragon for testing things more than I did, your efforts really showed man. Without your help this wouldn't have even been possible. Spoiler: images of the cart
