@ASSEMbler has stated he does not wish for that to be on here. Discussed it in the shoutbox a week a go or so. Unless he changes his mind that is.
Yeah, I can understand. I really doubt the forum wants any copyright protection related attention from Disney.
It was released without permission so I agree with ASSEMBLER with not posting it here. Seriously though; If you're given a build, trust goes with that. If someone isn't ready to make their build go public, take the hint and don't do it.
Gonna add it to the list anyway just for reference as to what came out this year, but of course no download link.
Yeah, but no-one actually went as far as releasing it. It was a somewhat common build, granted, but people had enough common sense to keep it to themselves and not leak it. When you release something, its only polite to ask the OG source if he wants it leaked; if he says yes or doesn't care, go for it. In this case though, OG source didn't want it leaked but someone who had intentions to leak it manipulated someone into giving it to them and then did so. Not everyone gets to play builds. Most of them come at a pretty hefty price, and its always up to the OG source if they're willing to let their substantial investment saturate into a worthless build that only a few people with the right equipment can run it.
Right, and what is your definition of original source? The deal I made was to buy it exclusively for a hefty, in which case should I be the original and only source. That deal was reneged on and it sold to multiple people, some of whom were told the same thing I was. Common sense has nothing to do with anything. The original source gets no say when something like that happens. It's also why I don't do trades, as all it takes is one weak link along the way, it just happens that this chain had multiple.
I'm interested in knowing the original source honestly. I've heard references to them, but haven't actually learned who they are. Edit - or where they are now
All Battlefront shows is how hard it is to trust sources of prototypes. It's a risk every single time, and you just hope that someone is being honest. That's why we make the rules that we make. I myself could have made thousands off of Battlefront, and was practically told to go ahead, and yet I still didn't. And I've said it before, if people weren't dishonest, I wouldnt have had the game, as I made one single sale to rid myself of it with full disclosure of how the deal had worked out, and it still found its way back to me.
Was hoping just maybe just maybe! that the Re0 N64 Proto would be released around the HD remake.... but so far nothing :/
I'm in the exact same boat, I never played more than like 5 mins of a RE game but that RE0 prototype is very intriguing. I'm hoping some unreleased Virtual Boy prototype gets released. A long shot, but hey, it's happened before.
