Why do people not follow the rules?

Posting shots a beta stolen from certnet or whatever
is stupid. It's also goes against our laws and disrespects
    developers.

Do you not realize you harm real people, put real fear in
their minds that their hard work is stolen? That their sales
will be less and they will maybe be downsized?

I am tired of having to apologize for you.

Here I am having an exchange with the DEVELOPERS about
this mess. These are real people who depend on this to
support their families. Many of us are programmers and
artists. If you see something out of line, report it.
Not reporting it is almost as bad as posting it.

I have done what I can by once again distancing us from this.

We are better than this. The mods and myself do not know about
everything going on in gaming. If it seems iffy, report it and let
the mods and myself make the call.

Can't say he'll be missed, he was pretty quick to act like a jerk instead of ever being calm in any unpleasant situations. Was he the same guy that caused all that trouble with Splatterhouse some months back?

PEOPLE, the matter is quite easy and even transcends the easy and straightforward rules we have. Don't post, share or do thing that might result in trouble for:

    -developers, publishers, designers and programmers
    -this place
    - (optional) yourself.

we do not need anyone to destroy the hard gained reputation and respect collected in years thanks to good relationships with programmers, devvers, collectors and videogames businness insiders.

Many people here placed a lot of effort in making the forums as they are today, so have respect to these people too.

This is not directed at everybody but just a select few (like RK).

WHAT THE F*** IS WRONG WITH YOU!!
Sure we all love this hobby of seeing things that never make it out of development hell but some of us here (like me) actually work in this industry for a living. You have no god damn right to be posting leaks/pictures/info of stuff still in development. Hell I almost think a step further, none of you ****ing people should be on PartnerNet period.

Just remember, your actions have consequences and in the future, you've ****ed everybody over.

    -edit-
Asm, feel free to delete my post if it's too much/harsh.

its amazing i remember hearing that robert kendo did something very out of line but i didn't care to learn what it was . it seems he has crossed the line and it gives you legal issues .

assembler i have an idea every time someone makes an account they will have to agree to not do stuff like this so if it happens the blame won't go to you.

more or less a legal clause that if someone releases beta element of an upcoming hear your not counted liable , eben though it says your not liable for anything said hear take it a step further.

I'm new around, just read about all this and think it´s ok to bring the hammer on that guy... you can´t just take such a reckless action and don´t expect consequences. Hope this won´t bring any issues on the site.

Yeah he did, great example on why NOT to post certain things, no matter if someone asks for pics, there are things you better don't post and you better don't even tell someone about, as you see not only you are about to get trouble.
Especially if it's an upcoming game, don't post about it, don't post Pics and, most important, never ever leak it. That's something even I now, everyone who didn't, you now know it!

Not to cause waves, I am not going to argue any ridiculous point, I just want to be absolutely sure on all of this. Why are screenshots such a huge deal? Why is secrecy over just seeing a game or whatever suuuuuch a big deal? What, is the entire project put at jeopardy because someone saw it? What real harm are game designers trying to avoid by not allowing images or video or whatever of their games to get out? Yeah, source code is bad, beta builds are bad, but screenshots? I don't see any harm that could actually come from that? So people know about it, SO WHAT? It's not like it's the government where someone seeing pictures of something or knowing about something they shouldn't spells doom for a country or community. Again, I'm not trying to cause trouble, this is an honest question.

Ever had a brother or sister tell your parents some big piece of news before you? Imagine that, but with millions of dollars and jobs involved.

We should have a sort of Darwin Award for banned users that do something so unbelievably stupid that there is no argument over whether they should be kicked out or not.

On the plus side: at least this also tackles the other little issue we were having regarding unsent items and bent truths.
