Only if you view it with Rifftrax commentary. You'll thank me later.

I'd just like to say that I agree that the kid in Terminator 2 is a right twat. He puts me off the movie too. Luckily everyone else in the movie is so good I'm Abel to look past the annoying aspects.

I'm glad you're Abel to do that, since I'm quite Cain on Terminator 2.

Going to buy a Blu-Ray player tomorrow, just a $79 one... Don't really want to kill the PS3 for movies...

Stick with Panasonic, if it is in your price range. Stay away from Sony and Samsung at all costs (crappy firmware support and rampant overheating, respectively).

I'm quite happy with my LG player. But I wouldn't reccomend it. I bought it cheap under the assumption it would only be a temporary player and that I'd buy a higher end one at a later date.

Apparently this one I'm going to get can change region by the service menu, just for now as a standalone player it should do the job. I'm not expecting to it to be the optimus prime of BR Players or anything.
Panasonic do make great TVs so I can see where you're coming from... I didn't know Samsung would be poor for something like this :O

I'm a member over at AVSforums, and I did extensive research on BR players before buying mine. I keep up on industry trends with build quality and running problems. For once, I'm going to say, trust me.

I still consider The Fall to be a reference quality BD release personally

*violently clears throat* ...yes. Pretty good, but you have to consider the source material. The later seasons look flawless, but the early stuff doesn't fare as well - think of it as the same as the DVD transfers on a sliding scale, but that scale simply starts higher.

I just finished watching the new Jaws Blu-ray. I thought it looked pretty good. Very sharp, little grain - they obviously did a lot of cleaning, but it still looks quite good. It's a great movie. "Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark."

Damn it, now I have to get it. :) I'm hoping that there is some restored footage that alludes to the whereabouts of one Pippett the Dog.

Jaws looks amazing on blu ray but..........

Especally on Blu ray the Shark looks even more rubbery and unrealistic.

Probably the most outdated part in BttF II: Jaws 19, Jaws NES game and old Mac in antique store...
