So many things wrong with this..why is Kyo caucasian? Why is Mai wearing black and why doesn't she have bigger boobs? lol Why are the special effects ridiculously bad? Why does Terry look like Marty McFly? Where's his cap?

Actually, why don't any of the characters look like KoF characters, and why doesn't the action look anything like KoF? You could have told me the action scenes were from the GI Joe movie and I would've believed that.

Why is there a hockey player? ARrrgah.

So did you ever have any hope that the KoF movie wouldn't suck? I mean if someone told me they were making a KoF live action movie I would just assume it's going to be horrifyingly terrible. I watched the video you linked and saw your points. It certainly didn't look very KoF like. But the way I see it the more movies like this, the better the Mortal Kombat movie looks.

 

Of course I knew it was going to be bad, but when I saw the costumes and that trailer..I mean, is it possible they made it look that bad on purpose? It certainly looks like they're making a delibrate B-movie out of it because there's no way anything can be that beyond terrible, but I dunno, it seems like the makers are actually completely serious, especially after Legend of Chun-Li..

As far as video game movies go, Mortal Kombat is kinda watchable, although still pretty stupid. The Doom movie was better than I expected, but it was still pretty awful and had a completely nonsensical plot (if you have an "evil gene" then the virus turns you into a monster? What?)

Eh Silent Hill was decent for what it was.

even though they say Ryu's name wrong and the whole movie perverts the Street Fighter Universe (so does Street Fighter II V but I like that too) it's awesome in it's own way (I know I said this already)

1. it's a little bit more faithful to the game
2. it's not that bad
3. It's not that good either.
4. the thing that's off is the casting.
5. Taken at face value as a action movie that takes is self too seriously it's watchable.

Hitman had what's her name in it. And the unrated version had some sweet bloody kills.
Super Mario Bros has one of the worst endings I've ever seen in a movie. Period.

KoF will definitely be a sucker, but I'll have to watch it anyway, just for the laughs :lol:

 

I like most of the Game movie adaptations. They are humorous. And I love SMB the movie along with The resident evil movies(they aren't much like the games but they create their own unique gaiden/retelling)


Street fighter with Van :3




Although they are called Adaptations for a reason. There was no possible way a game like Street fighter or KoF could fit into a standard movie without it being animated in some way that would please people.

 

Street Fighter II V is actually awesome. Probably the best video game adaptation ever. However, I thought the Alpha anime really sucked.

Was there ever a KoF anime? I know Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting got OVAs.

 

hmmm I think those "Martial Arts" films are something you need to be accustomed to, or else you will scream and shot profanities afterwards. The last MA film I saw, was DOA, and that film in the particular genre was not half bad in itself . So I will probably enjoy this B movie , just like the others I have seen. But the worst of the bunch when it comes to those films are Double Dragon, what a load of shit that film was and still is.

Samurai Shodown , was also made into an anime. Streetfigher Alpha anime was not good at all, The Dark Hado anyone ? SF2 the animated movie was alright in my mind. Also a crazy thing I happened to see the other day, the two Bogard brothers are in the horrible Bakugan anime series too. I just Can't remember if Joe Higashi is there too.

 

yeah this took on a life of it's own I have 16 films to watch.

The only movie here even close to being "good" is Silent Hill, the rest... blagh.

House of the Dead? I couldn't even get through that pile of crap.

The Mortal Kombat movies are also pretty crapworthy, especially that second one.

Super Mario Bros... not even tolerable. They should have made it animated.

Have not yet seen DOA, Max Payne, or Far Cry (didn't even know there was a Far Cry movie) but I'm not expecting too much from them.
