Still waiting for news on this... Assembler, are you still going ahead with this or has it been put on hold due to recent mod chip controversey?

I'm interested in purchasing one as well so long as they're relatively easy to install like the old ribbon cable chips that used to be available.

That being said, hope you're going through with this, and please put my name down for one.

I would be interested in one chip to!

Currently have a white japanese round button Saturn that had a 20-chip mod chip installed (surprised me since seller did not say anything about a mod chip installed).

Thinking about ripping out japanese hardware and swapping in euro hardware instead.

I realized how the hell was I going to sell over $400 in saturn mod chips. Make that $600 now that the USD is worth all of nothing...

I'd have to sell 100 saturn chips. Unless people think it can happen, I'm going to be out a bit of cash if I do it.

You'd be able to sell the chips for at least $10 I would think, don't you?
Not to mention assembler isn't the only place - you could check out several other boards, I think selling that many chips would actually be quite easy! A bunch of people on retrogamer are looking for them too, as they sold out quite a while ago.

In any case, you can put me down for at LEAST two of them, I'd like to mod both my US and JAP consoles.

    I'm extremely interested.
I snoozed on the last stock of racketboy's a couple months ago
and now I'm kicking the crap out of myself.

Perhaps some kind of official tally/list is in order to gauge interest?

Also too, I'd be willing to pay up front for mine. If others pay up front
would this make it easier on you? If it all falls through you can just paypal
    it all back.

  11. Hi, First post!

Not to Hijack the thread but I have a small online store where I sell mainly Sega Saturn Stuff and one of the items I typically have are Saturn modchips. http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Raluminat

If things fall through with the order ASSEMbler was looking at making perhaps some of the folks interested in getting these chips while they are still around could benefit from this.

Hell, I'll pay $20 for it, that way you'd only have to sell 30 of them to break even.

If you're going to spam us, the least you could do is offer a discount.

  14. Sorry, I just wanted to let folks know of an alternative as reading through it seemed as if you were not going to make your order. Poor taste on my behalf to assume this though. Should have asked permission to post this.

I could probably offer a few bucks off the price for a small discount but Iv had to raise the price of the chips lately due to my last few orders containing some defective chips. For this reason I am weary to place a large order and risk getting many bad chips. If I could find another supplier I would but it seems as your thread states the manufacture of these chips are on the last leg.

Anyways feel free to delete or modify the post as you see fit. Iv been browsing the forum and seems like a place I will enjoy posting at so I don't want to start off on the wrong foot or seem like I stopped in just to advertise.
