^^ system debugger is not a regular debug or tool, and likely only system debuggers are DEHR AND DECR units. 0 of these have been seen for sale in public.

^^ oh surely, one for all their target hardware of the time. I just meant to correct his confusion of "debugging station for playstation3" vs a system debugger.

System debuggers aren't for average joes anyway, they use special "I" firmwares with special keys in there.

eBay is the (last) site where to buy this system(s) ...you think to this 2 system (CEB & DECR) comes from eBay? :p (no)
on web exist person to have $$$ stuff, but not want to sell (or for the collectable value or for the reason to is unique to have) ;-) ...and aslo not want to release any info.

    not ask me why?!?!

Sure ebay might be the last place to find them, but maybe you missed what I said.

And about the DECR pictured only the owner can really say if it was one of the ones that a seller put 4 or so of up on ebay. And anyone who watched those sales know they went pretty cheap (at least the first 2) so the owner of that one might want to deny it was one from there because the low price paid is known.

And apart from that I was referring to system debuggers only.

edit.. just remembered there was one CEB sold on ebay, seller didn't provide any pics but one was on there, and I'm sure more ppl than just I remember the auction.

well... i not rember or seen the CEB in auction... but think to one have got for the reason to have got that pic on web and time ago that pic on web not exist... ;-)
but i think to people not are stupid and not have destrojed possible unique piece of proto-version of any pre-release of final kits... :p
if you do not see a thing, does not mean he does not exist... developers or SCE perason to work for it, have policy to not release any info of those material, but... this exist... and not few quantity...

    stupid SCE policy!

What does the "I" Firmware do, and what makes it so unique?

I remember an auction that used one of the photos floating around the net (of the ~6U unit). It was an outright scam.

They use different non-random loader keys and have symbols on most their binaries. Besides that they are more or less regular firmwares.

I'd assume the "I" stands for internal, but one can only assume.

It does, all the other firmwares are "E" ones, (External)
