The weirdest location was probably the Lodgenet N64 back during a family vacation to the US in the year 2000. I remember vividly how excited I was about "Dr. Mario 64", which I'd never seen before in my life (of course I only saw the trailer, my parents would of course refuse to pay so I could play video games during our vacation, hah!). I recall dreaming about it, imagining that it was like a crossover between Mario 64 and The Sims.

    Was it one of these?

Interestingly, I've seen those and GC ones, but nothing like a Wii.

I stayed at a hotel somewhere near Simi Valley CA (I think) where a Wii was provided for free if you stayed more than one night. I think ya had to check out the Wii-motes from the front desk.

Also, never seen it but there may be a PSP along with an exceedingly rare game at your local Hilton Garden Inn called "Hilton Ultimate Team Play"

Slightlly off-topic but almost a console (not really)..
.., Washington State has a bunch of passenger ferries going from Seattle all over the area, to islands etc and as a kid riding to and from Seattle, I remember playing the Nintendo Super System arcade cabinet on the boat, complete with the fatty SNES controllers and a selection of SMW, F-Zero or Super Tennis. It kinda sorta felt like I had brought my SNES with me onto the boat and set it up for the 35 min ferry ride. But of course quarters were involved.
The WA ferry system had other arcade machines too, like Fatal Fury and some other fighting game, but man the Super System was so fun and felt like an SNES more than an arcade cab (jus my young self's opinion, now lookin at it it's def an arcade cab). I think as a kid I also thought it was way too quick of a gameplay chunk before ya had to insert more precious quarters.

I remember seeing a video about that Hilton "game". It was really more of a employee training tool than an actual game, and supposedly you needed a special PSP for it too.

Yea that's the one!! I am guessing it would be crazy odds nowadays to waltz on into a Hilton Garden Inn, ask the front desk employees about the special PSP unit or the Hilton Ultimate Team Play UMD and have them even know what your talking about, let alone have either on-site. There's still a chance for sure, in fact if a location is close to me I might jus pop in and inquire. Ya never know, maybe they didn't all get sold off or put in storage who-knows-where, and maybe there's a few lurking in the back closets of HGI's around the U.S.... but yeah they're probably isn't many hiding in the wild.
Regardless, it's at least sorta unexpected that there's PSP's possibly lurking around some random hotel chain back room.

You called your manager dumb and then went on to use the incorrect homophonic heterograph with the word "through" instead of "threw". :)

Hmm, this is interesting. I'm going to have to do some research. I never knew about this.

You likely never saw it unless you were an employee who started at the time, that would be my guess.
