Wow that's crazy. How did you get a Xbox tower prototype?

Lovely! I remember reading a labybird book on car design when I was a young child and in one picture it had men in lab coats making a prototype car from modelling clay - it was then progressed (upscaled) to a wooden frame. I just remember all the parts being the same colour and that's precisely what this Xenon reminds me of. Thank god they redesigned the USB port entry as those 2 rubber things would have annoyed the crap out of me.

So, can we assume the outputs on the back are the same and have you ventured inside it yet? I assume the internal architecture is the same (other than whatever those cables are attached too) and it is the case which is the prototype? (I.e the final internal design)

This is only the second one of these prototype Xenon units I have seen and it's a joy to behold.

<Utterly AMAZING collection - drool worthy as ever matey!>

The ports on the back are the same as a regular 360 BUT the motherboard architecture is far from what we use today.

...You should see the console when its on at night...I'm serious, its full off tell-tale LED's, orange, blue and purple...looks like Blackpool illuminations when it's running!

Quick update to for your viewing pleasure...

    The ultimate Xbox Debug Kit!

They don't get any better than this imo, this is a brand new and boxed 64mb black cased Xbox Debug Kit!!!

    ...So what you might say?

Well this is the legendary 2003 'TUSCANY XBLADE' machine...Enjoy :)

...You don't see many black 64mb debugs around and the few you do see have been opened and heavily fcuked with...remember this is mint, mint, mint, that alone makes it rather uber special :p

Holy christ! I need to check this part of the forums more regularly!
Love these pics, you always have the best stuff!

That beta Xenon controller has the same shiny/textureless plastic casing as the old beta Duke controllers that I acquired some years back. Have you had a chance to try it out on a retail 360 to see if it functions properly? It doesn't cut out intermittently like the Dakota controllers on a retail Xbox does it?

It runs a treat on a retail 360, no bugs from what I can tell.

    That's great!

It was weird seeing the Jan 2005 date sticker on the back on the proto controller. Amazing how they were able to keep these designs under wrap for so long before pics began to trickle out in mid 2005 leading up to the launch announcement.
