Damn, damn, damn! How DO you find them? I swear to GOD you ARE working at Microsoft and sneak into their vaults at night to take pictures of shit NOBODY will ever see again - Oh, my Xbox collection just looks like a pimple on the ass of OE's collection lol

I'm totally blown away by your collection my friend

If you were to start your collection all over again, how long do you thing it would take you to replace all of your 'key' items (if money wasn't an object??) ie do you have access to pretty much anything you like, or do you spend ages hunting down specific items like the rest of us mere mortals?

<<J. Allard gets ready to send another "Development Kit" to OE

Only Joking - hey, put that down.....runs from OE.

On a more serious note, this is an image I stumbled upon whilst trying to find something suitable. It immediately brought me to a halt. Have a look at the Greenpeace site www.greenpeace.com and search "Electronic waste". In our own small way we are atleast ensuring that less of this stuff reaches these vast dumps. Cheers m8, much appreciated.

Simple, luckily they usually find me!

Thank you for the kind words. To answer your question please refer to the answer I gave to Parris :p ...On a more serious note I don't think I could ever replace any of the 'key' items, several are either one-off's or so obscure I've either never seen another...Hence I wouldn't know where to begin. :banghead: ...I am after all a mere mortal ;-)

...U know I always like to make fellow enthusiasts happy at Christmas time :icon_bigg

...So true, in fact I'll tell the missus that next time I squeeze in another Dev Kit..."It's okay love, I'm an eco-warrior, I'm just trying to save the planet for future generations, chill out, relax, inhale."

Do your kids appreciate and know about the heritage that lurks inside their home? :)

Yep, my son still uses a Megadrive, roughly once a year, purely so that he doesn't forget where we came from

And I've got my 8 year old niece hooked on my Master System stuff! despite the fact that she's already got a DS and is getting a pink PSP for Christmas - I'm such a proud uncle *Ahem, got a lump in my throat* ;0)

Nice find, where are you getting this stuff from?
Btw, you never answered my original question.

On a DS did not have much of a choice unless I wanted to spend allot of time at Walmart. Everytime I would go to the store she would go to the electronics and not want to leave the DS. a few weeks ago I broke down and bought aher a DS and the virtual dalmations. She plays with the darn dog at least 1 hour a night. I do not know if getting into video games so early was the best but she is hooked and she is only 2. Her top 3 games are:

    DS -Dalmations
    dreamcast - MS pacman
Atari - Missle Command - She likes it when the missles explodes.

Can you post some pictures of the Amiga? Surely you must own an Amiga. I'll even settle for Atari ST.

As promised...a few piccys of the Beta 1 Xenon motherboard tell tale LED's in operation.

...Not the best pics in the world, but pretty rare none the less. As u can imagine not easy to get a clear photo :/ ...May try and repeat the experiment in the dark as it looks far more clever :)

Anyway, this shot shows the orange LED's in the top, there's also turquoise ones in there as well, happily pulsing away to themselves.

This shot show's many constant blue and red LED's in the bottom of the console...

The final shot shows the console when it's locked up! This causes the many blue LED's to extinguish and the few red ones to remain.

    Other Fun Facts:

The Dev Kit itself is pretty wacky in operation, heres a few oddball observations for yer:
    1. The 'rol' power button does NOT start the console up!
    2. The 'rol' power button green LED's are a different colour green!
    3. The gamepad sync button on the front of the console starts the console up. (so does the gamepad globe button)
    4. The gamepad sync button doesn't actually sync a controller as wireless gamepads aren't supported! ...BUT the 'rol' LED's do spin round-and-round, merely to show the proof on concept.
    5. As well as running the XDK dash it also runs the very first proof of concept 'blade' style dash, just like we use today, except most of the options on the Beta 1 dash are merely placeholders for future development.
Hope this makes some sense to the few that may be half interested.
