 People are mixing up the thread between PS Phone & PSP2. Something I keep saying are two separate products. PS Phone will just be like any other phone. Digitally distributed content. PSP2 is not like PS Phone and will use a Cart like Media for distributing games (along with Digital downloads). PSP2 will not be another PSP-Go.
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416557 Bravo Playstation Div. Huge win on not letting the SE department ram out a shitter to fuck up the brand. Less confusion now. So PSP2 & Xperia Play.
Getting closer to final retail units with Xperia and PlayStation style logos: More pics and stuff on Engadget.
Looks just like a PSP Go with a silver facia to me. If it is, expect a lot of cramp and crap battery life.
Joy, a ribbon that moves every time you slide it open. Seen that on plenty of cell phones and it is a horrible idea that is asking for failure.
Look damn gorgeous though. I will be buying one I don't care about the price. I got a japanese PSP at launch through some very tricky ebay deals and when it finally arrived I'd never been so excited opening a box, I think PSP2 will be equally special.
Ah my experience was quite similar! I hope I feel the same about the PSP 2 as well! I sure felt that way when I bought my 3rd PSP which was the MGS Peace Walker Big Boss Bundle
Eww. Thank god no. Users suck at mock-ups based on leaked pictures where it's been noted many times in rumors that the design changed.
My air-scratched (amazing but true) PSP screen tells me a clamshell PSP2 would be the best thing ever. BTW, at the end whats the hardware behind it? is it still going to use a Tegra2? or a regular ARM+PowerVR? Last thing I heard they were ditching the MIPS
Engadget have their hands on an Xperia Play, and they've done quite an an in-depth preview of the unit.
