I am currently considering integrating my PSX with my PSX development PC as I have a spare SCPH-1002 mobo lying around. As I need an ISA slot I cant use a mini-ITX board but I did find a nice little 6x86-300 mobo which I'm gonna use. In the end I also want to make a 'bay' for the official PSone LCD :)
However, I havent been able to find any info on the PSX PSU pinout so right now it looks like wiring 220V from the PC PSU to the PSX power board is the only (dodgy) option :Hangman:

    Will keep you updated :smt024

I opened a DC VGA box to see if I could hack it inside my DC like kortex's mod, but the board it's too big :-(

I think I will build my own tiny vga box.

Pro, if you do I'd love to see a little guide on how you did it. It sounds like a fun project.

I know this is an old thread but I thought it would be nice to post a few pictures of case modes I have done.

Long time lurker of this forum, my first post. I want to say that you guys have a great site and keep up the good work. :smt023

This is a PS2 with a clear case and blue LED's.

Nice Stuff. I'll make myself look V silly soon by posting my rather puny MD region/ refresh rate switches...

    Thanks very much :D

What I did was to clear jewel then I mounted the LED's then I printed a .gif and laminated it and put it behind the LED's. It turned out better then I expected. I didnt anticipate the LED's to play such tricks with the colors in the laminated picture. It looks almost holographic.

Here is a PS2 with a back lite logo made from EL wire. The logo was routed out and filled with clear epoxy.

All of my system mods are in my collection thread, with the exception of my blue Genesis LED. That's nothing special, though.

Awesome stuff guys. The extent of my "modded systems" involved an x-acto knife, pliers, and a SNES so I could play some SFC games.

    That is hardcore!

I would have put money on it being a hologram from those pictures, normally I don't go for jewel mods, but that does look very good!

So that's a normal XBOX in a custom case that you made? What's the case made from?
