The "What did you do over the weekend?" Thread

I went to Laredo, Texas with a friend's band of mine (Look Out). They played with Down to Nothing. I had such a great blast. I ended up doing sound for the show because my friend didn't really know how to use the PA system very well. It's my 2nd home!

 

You have to do all of these:

1) Preliminary examination.
2) Qualifying examination.
3) Dissertation topic defense.
4) Dissertation defense.
5) Publish a paper in a refereed venue.

Really, it's only the first part that concerns me

 

I went to the mountains with my church youth group. The place we stayed at is right outside of Boone, NC, and we went skiing/snowboarding at Sugar Mountain. If anyone wants, I can post pictures.

 

...Can't say I'm afraid, but trust me it was good

I didn't get pictures of anyone skiing (and I busted my ass a few times snowboarding) - I mainly took pictures of my friends and the area we were staying. It's still fairly interesting stuff, though, so I'll put it up when I get the chance.

 

I took this later in the afternoon, right outside the house we were staying at.


This is a shot I took when we were in the car, hence the reflections.


A friend and I in a very crappy picture (I turned off the flash, which in turn slows down the shutter speed, obviously). This is the place we were staying, if you can make out any details.
