So I dressed up as "1/4 Mexican". I had the biggest sombrero most people had ever scene. I had with me the following props: Mexican blanket to act as a poncho, a lanyard with my work key that says, "I <3 Mexico", Spanish-English pocket dictionary, a Mr. Potato Head w/ sombrero, and a bottle of tequila. My boss wouldn't let me have the tequila out front though... it had to stay in my locker...

Edit: Funny story along the same lines as Phrequency's. I was helping a customer, who was a little bit of an older gentleman, when a little girl, probably 6-7 year old, walked up with no costume.

He smiles and asks her, "Hey, are you dressed up as a cute little girl for Halloween?"

She says, "No... I don't celebrate Halloween."

    "Oh..."

It was a really awkward moment.

    USA goes to the polls...

Just before you head to the polls to vote for McCain or Obama, I think every American should have a look at this 30min video prior to making their decision:

yeah, seriously. it'll be interesting to see what are next president will actually do when they're in office. neither one has really said, "This is how I can fix this problem." They both just sort of dance around it imo...

Can't blame either camp for skirting around the issues - it's akin to asking them to solve the problem, despite no one truly knowing where to begin!
It was a great video actually, really well expressed and the reason I posted it was because I also felt it clarified a lot. It is the single biggest issue for the West right now.

One thing that was not mentioned, although I see China is gently pushed as the looming economic issue for the USA (and I agree) is that many oil rich countries invest massively in the US economy. It amazes me that so many fingers the West would really hate to burn are also involved in aspects of World events we would rather they didn't, whilst slowly becoming more involved with them.

If the Dollar is ever surpassed by the Euro, the whole fan will be covered in manure.

Anyway, may the best win tonight! I know who I am rooting for.

It's not the USA. The rest of the country is also being run by an almost exact duplicate financial system.

Just pay your bills on time. Yes, debt can also be eliminated out of thin air, just like how money is created out of 'thin air'.

Good watch. Both Obama and McCain are nutty as a fruitcake economically and I wouldn't vote for either of them. Two wars, huge bailouts, massive debt, and they're both lowering taxes. Crazy....

Between the two assholes, I would vote for Obama. Compared to the Religious right winged nutcase that the reps are having as a candidate. But Mccain is not the worst, but his woman he has at his side, she is probably the most fucked up religious nutcase, I have seen in politics. And she reminds me of the Danish Christian sect leader Ruth Evensen from the sect Faderhuset (The Fatherhouse)

From what I understand Obama and McCain aren't majorly religious people but have to get their god on to get elected.

Palin is the real deal. Ain't blowing no holy smoke. They've grooming her for 2012 apparently.

Way to show some respect for women there DK.

You can disagree with Palin without being a complete ass about it.

What the fuck are you talking about ? Ruth Evensen is a fucking insane sect leader here, so what the fuck are you babbling about ? I voted for a woman last there was an election . Am I hurting your feelings because I see palin as a fucking cunt ? Jesus, what the hell are you talking about. I am not a misogynist just because I can´t stand Ruth Evensen or Palin, so give me a break.
I just can´t stand religious fanatism whether it is this or that or something else. But what about saying the same to others who has said the same about Palin from your own country on the forum.

Just ignore me , if you feel that is better. So madhatter256 has got it right.

Eh, I don't believe I've ever publically stated what country I'm from, so I'm not sure whose comments you're referring to. And I've certainly never stated an opinion on Palin either way, pro or con.

But, yes, if you can't refer to a woman without calling her a cunt, then misogynist is probably an appropriate word. It's kinda like someone tossing out nigger and then following it up with "I am not a racist." The words used highlight the falsehood of the statement that follows.

Eeerhm I do not call all women cunts. And what I meant about others from your country , was if you are in the USA. Then you should begin attacking those who called Palin a cunt . So I take offence with you saying, that I call every woman a cunt. But hey life is hard, and then we all die. And I have already stated long ago, that I am a Democrat in American eyes, but I am much more than that. But why do I take offence about the male chauvinistic part is that I am far from being that.

Sounds wonderful, politics is a black powder cake. Anyway I would vote for the democrats . Since I have seen what the republican clones has done here. So anyway , yes I know Obama is not really a middle democrat. he is quite right turned. But compared to Bush or McCain, then he is not that much . But if I have to put him in the "democratic" spectrum, then he is between social democrats (the party not the true form) since the party here is beginning to get quite right turned. And some other rightwing party, which I can´t place exactly. So I am not blind, when it comes to Obama. And neither am I with McCain, I am just not in favour of the republicans.
