True , it is a bad word. But let us not talk semantics and double standards of words. But I can´t stand Palin , she creeps me the heck out. And using the n-word in a context where you are explaining something historical or something else, where you are explaining how bad the word is. And you before hand say, you are not racist or a racist for that matter. Then I don´t think you are racist at all. And all BS about me being misogynist and a GLBT phobe , or for that matter gay and racist. is BS for what it is worth, But frankly I don´t give a toss about anymore. But back to the politics, I just hope the democrats will win this election.

The way I see it, there are no inherently "bad" words, only bad intentions. Calling someone an idiot could be far more offensive, it depends entirely on context. I never could grasp why "cunt" is so unacceptable to Americans. It's like you have one word you've all agreed not to say. Weird.

So when do the votes get counted, anyway? Are we nearing the point where everyone can shut the fuck up about the whole thing?

 

Alchy, they have at least 7 words they can´t say , but the old list has been redefined a couple of times already. Because of some rules has become more soft during the years. Since you can say fart now a days, and some places you can even say tits on Telly. But censoring of words, is to me in some ways a kind of handicapping a language. But I have explained my opinion about such things long ago. Maybe I should redefine or correct my old spellings of such things ? anyway the word cunt is genderneutral, the last I checked when it comes to the British English language. And such is twat too, if I recall correctly, but I have said my piece for now.

 

You don't understand. My point is that no words are inherently offensive - meaning is given through context, so cunt can be meaningless depending on who's using it and who's listening. Nothing to do with TV censorship or gender issues.

 

Your only handicapped if your stupid enough not to be able to express yourself without the use of those words.

 

I don't really care about bad words, I just like to bug WDK. I do think the word is stupid, and I think some other words are stupid, but whatever. I just don't say them.

Any word is acceptable when you go the comedy route, though.

Actually, I think the word pussy annoys me. Thats one word I just can't stand. Since I'm long out of high school it doesn't come around much...probably why I hate words like that, stupid fucking dickheads use them.

In actual, real life, I really don't cuss that much. I think the only one I really use is the F word when it's needed. (THAT WORD IS FUCK)

Well, I can express myself so lovely in English, that the angels will come down and sing Händels Messias I just use the full spectrum of words. and pooh words are bad bad bad lol. Anyway I can express myself without cursing or swearing all the time in English. So hey, a person is stupid (to some degree) if he can´t use words that are not cursing and for that matter offensive in every day sentences of what is going on around in the world.
