Carnival Night zone in Sonic 3 with Sonic. There's this one part where you're supposed to get up or something but I can never get that high, even with Tails flying.

    Knuckles has no problem though.

Oh god, Ninja Gaiden has made me want to tear my hair out on so many levels. I'm not just talking about the original trilogy on the Famicom/NES but also the Xbox 360 games. Ninja Gaiden was one of those games where I almost intentionally snapped my DS Lite in 2 because I could never beat it on my R4.

The AVGN pretty much Sums up Ninja Gaiden

Although Ninja Gaiden III (Both new and Old) are way more forgiving.

When I was young I had a copy of Robowarrior for the NES. It has a debateable history as being the 'first' of the Bomberman game. It used to frustrate the *piss* out of me when I was younger, many due to the amount of 'f*ck you' moments the game does to you. If you've played it, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

The music still kicks ass though.

p.s They actually fixed a lot of the problems when they made the Gameboy version, which I can heartedly recommend. No more running out of stupid bombs!

    I just saw it.

Fun fact, I actually called SEGA's 900 number for that part of that game.

And all it gave me was useless crap.

Now I'm upset at bloody SEGA

Bomberman came out well before Robowarrior (even the MSX version)

...I don't see how people would say it's the first

I still remember 'Eric and the Floaters' on the ZX Spectrum (still released by Hudson Soft) - that was one of the first incarnations of Bomberman.

Yep, my bad. Don't know why I thought it was the first Bomberman game.

Gunstar Heroes, bought it brand new from a discount bin back in the day. Whilst it’s still my favourite game of all time, (especially in two player mode), and I can breeze through every stage of it on automatic but, there is one level that always gets me killed at least twice (ok more like 7-10 times) no matter how hard I try. The space ship stage. Whilst I only have praise for treasure for breaking up the run and gun action and actually think it nicely foreshadows the kind of games they would be making years later there are always a few new swear words invented when I ever I get to that stage.

The fat guys that breathe fire and the karate twins from the original Streets of Rage. Fighting them won't get you a game over immediately, it'll just take away almost all of your lives and credits while you slowly kill them off with extra squad car calls and that brief second where they fall on the ground when you come back to life. -_-

Then you have to fight all of the bosses again in the last stage without squad cars.

The moral of the story is, you fight the same number of people and bosses for 1P that you do with 2P. Find a friend.

Also Contra III. All of it.

elevator stage you can still use the squad car, but after the elevator stage inside building you fight 2 of every boss from the previous stages + the final end boss but cannot use your backup squad car

Then you haven't played Neo Contra :p Contra HC is fun though because the Japanese version has three hit points while Western one...doesn't...
