Total Carnage for Atari Jaguar!!!!

I don't know much about unreleased games and their prices, but $560 seems outrageous to me. Do you know how much shit you could buy for $560? I mean cmon you could get all 3 nextgen systems and still have a hefty amount of cash left.

and on the subject of Maximum Carnage: The game is awesome. It is complete joy in the form of an SNES game. You cannot look me in the eyes and say you didn't love smashing 2 street thugs together with Venom.

However, that Seperation Anxity (I spelled that wrong, I can tell) Spiderman game was awful.

Hey, I can think of a few municipalities and small nation-states that would *PAY* you to take their shit. But really, comparing sewage dumping to buying proto games doesn't really make sense. Even when the proto in question is Total Carnage.

... by which I'm sure he means, $560 for an undumped unreleased Jaguar proto is a reasonable price. The people that have this amount of money to spend probably already own all three current consoles, if they want to.

Just joined here at Assembler and am loving these forums.... It was a legit proto. I got it from an ex-Atari employee along with a pile of other Flash carts. I also have the 2 player version on Flash and an actual cart that I later labeled....

 

And Total Carnage got a release in Arcade Treasures 2

 

Just for a quick/sneaky bump, this was released today by Songbird Productions for $90 a cart. Steep, but then they're not cheap to make, sadly.

You're joking, are you? Who ever would be so ignorant to copy a much-too-rare proto ROM and spread it out in the universe?? That would destroy its value in a nanosec! Or DID somebody do that and i missed the auction?

 

The beta version of Total Carnage is now out there somewhere in the wild.

 

So that was alot of money for a jaguar prototype then eh? I think Jaguar collecting prices have gone up since then. I think 6 button controllers used to cost 60. Now they go for over 200.

 

It's because of the homebrew scene and the discovery of some the unreleased games like Phear, Bomberman, Livewire, Conan, etc...And the realization that there's good games on the system such as AVP, Missile Command 3D, Rayman, Ultra Vortek, Super Burnout, NBA Jam T.E., Zool 2, Tempest 2000, Defender 2000, Breakout 2000, Iron Soldier, I-War, etc...

 

Someones working on a Jaguar flashcart. If you wanna save money on cartridges I suggest checking out the Jaguar section of Atari Age. It's different than a skunkboard cause you can use a SD card and it's gonna let you use jaguar cd games.

While the ROM for the commercial version it's out there, the Beta is not. Let me see if i can search it, wherever it is sitting...
