Just a heads up: Mario Kart Arcade GP1, Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 and F-Zero AX all work with the Quadforce wad on a software modded Wii. http://gbatemp.net/threads/crediar-releases-quadforce-2-0.347158/ I only have some mild slowdown on MKAGP2 on a cat 4 SDHC... anyone else have similar issue or a higher cat card without slowdown?
On quadforce? no the games playing at 100% speed on the wii except some minor slowdowns on the menues on MK GP2
Well in the thread there was a video of gameplay and the game was way too fast, like 1.5x fast forwarded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kImXxdADPvo
So are both English and Japanese versions of F-Zero AX publicly available, or does it use the console language setting?
F-Zero is in English anyways, I don't think it matters, there are two versions around, both Jap, but the first one had a wrong header, that's all. VS4 is in two versions available.
In the post of Shinebi I read the following; *I also recommend keeping a copy of the RVL-MIOS-v10.wad so that you can reinstall regular GCN support any time you want.* Let's say you accidentally deleted that file, is it replaceable with a generic copy from the WWW, or do you need a specific version tied to your console?
I think it's standard, I grabbed it anyways. (that quote is outdated a bit, as the OP on TiZ had updated it already) I can only get Quadforce games running by first installing the Quadforce wad on MIOS, then launch a game of choice from SD card ONLY with the DM Booter app, it won't work with a DM(L) plugin on any other launcher (such as USB CFG for instance). When wanting to have the ability to launch 'regular' games again from SD/USB, you should reinstall the DM wad or DML wad on that MIOS accordingly. At the moment, this is the only way (...although there is talk of combining with Sneek I think, but haven't bothered, as I need to read into this virtual NAND matter as of yet)
Ehhh, no? It's in English. You asked AX, I replied AX. EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Dqwg5X-fh8 main parts in English as it's an arcade game, obviously Japanese side info, yes. I don't think this was released outside of Japan?
Indeed. SO I assume I have the English version... have to check tonight. I first had the version with wrong header (Virtua Striker 2002 IIRC?), and grabbed the one with correct header. Didn't have time to compare both, but will do and will post here if these are actually different. Both were marked as Japanese, hence my 'mistake'.
Well console setting is possible if unlikely. They did consider that for GX, Japan version has remnants of the idea.
You can download it with NUS downloader. https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/gamecube Just do step 1.
I'd like to get like an 8 or 16GB SD card for my Wii, but I've read that the Wii doesn't support SDHC, except within Homebrew Channel. That's fine, except that I want keep iBoot on the SD card, and if I put iBoot on an SDHC card the Wii won't load it, correct?
SDHC works fine on a Wii with all official software, I have a 32GB SanDisk cat 4. some homebrew isn't SDHC compatible though.... Just a shame the Wii isn't SDXC compatible :moody: Gonna update with QF 4 tonight and will finally check what versions of F-Zero I've got. PS what's this iBoot? Apple soft?
