My v5 has two usb ports. I use the top one since its flush with the GDROM plastic. Either he did this to have that flushness or idk why else. I never tested the bottom port.

Yep he is only asking for the paypal address for "Your account"

I thought maybe the 2 USB ports might be for some USB drives that use two for power. I had a USB drive a while back on my PC that used two connectors in order to work correctly for some reason. It's the same for when you use a WiiU console that has had it's Vwii IOS modded for USB access, as one port on the console is not enough to power the drive like you could on an original Wii.

However, only used the one port on the UGC and its fine.

Just to add - I have tried my over clocked dreamcast with my GD emu board and it ran ok (although I only tried it briefly a while ago) - I should imagine this unit will be ok too.

I noticed he updated the page to USD with shipping info... So its safe to assume he is still making boards and shipping them... but to what i Understand he just pumping out boards right now for 3do and dreamcast. He might give small replies if you are lucky... but at best you will get a confirmation and thats it.

I spoke to him recently regarding my order, which I received and from the looks of it, he is swamped with orders.

How long did it take for you to get yours? I wouldn't be surprised if he is super busy, he's selling a very unique product.

It took me quite a while to get hold of MNEMO. Eventually I got a reply and had two boards mailed out to me in Western Australia on the 28th September which, have yet to arrive...

I paid for mine a few days ago, really looking forward to this! He still hasn't shipped mine yet. Was there a delay between payment and shipping for others? I figure I will not inquire with him until it has been a week from payment. I don't want to come across as a haggler, but am VERY EXCITED! Also, does anyone have a link for a Pico Power supply US seller? I am a little worried reading the post about the fuzzy image experienced by others using the power supply......

    Yes, there is a delay.
I didn't know that mine was shipped and got it like 3 weeks after the payment.
I was very excited too, it's really a great product. ;)

The internal and external USB-GDROM's finally arrived on the 20th. It took three weeks to get from Kazakhstan to Western Australia...

What version is best to get? Is the only difference in the placement of the USB port?

As far as I know, yes. They should perform the same.

I have read somewhere that a v4 may be better (if you keep the original gdrom on top) for the airflow to be unchanged.

And you may have to let the door open with a v5 if you want to use a external hard drive, because i don't know if you have the place to make it fit inside the console.

But with a v5, you don't have to cut your console, and if you only use a usb stick, it's hidden inside the console, that may be a plus for the look :)

I tried it. The Dreamcast thinks it is a music disk that contains two tracks. It doesn't even try to play track one though you can skip to it. At track two it states it has a play time of 396:40. There is no sound/music if you try to play any of the tracks.

If memory serves me correctly didn't Sega GD-ROM specifications state the maximum size of a disk was limited to 1.2GB?

    thanks for trying

I really think the issue is the CDI creator... because the 1.7GB CDI works just fine at least in GDemu... did you try that one as well?
