the last ff game that pleased real players was ff6... ff7 pleased manily newbies that freshly bought the psx... so many years have passed and the market is demanding shitty games... so squenix is going that way those companyes are made for profits not for making great games....
I know with cars a lot has to do with the shaken tax, which applies to cars older than like 2-3 years. It can be fairly expensive to keep an older car on the road there, which is why for the most part, only enthusiasts do it.
Yeah there are a bunch of inspections that have to be done on older cars that cost alot of money, That also creates a great used engine market in the US, there are alot of honda, nissan motors that can be had cheap for motor swaps.
My whole theory on cars in a city like Tokyo is... "fuck cars". Complete pain in the ass. if you have a kid or two, I can see where they might come in handy. But the spontonaity (sp?) of getting loaded whenever you want and not having to worry about driving is worth far more than a car. Not to mention the fact it's going to run you a few hundred bucks to park at your house... then you got petrol for 100 yen a liter, tolls, and parking wherever you're going. Maybe it's me, but I always thought it was stupid to have something as painfully inconveniencing and expensive just to drive on weekends. Then again, I bought a brand new car when I got here 19 months ago and I just broke 4,000 miles. I hate driving. Now where is my panty collection...
I agree completely. After FF6 the series has just been really lame. And it looks like the DS is shaping up to be THE CONSOLE for the FF1-6 purists like myself. Even though I really wish they hadn't messed up FF1 so bad (making it so damn easy).
From FFVII to the present every single games seems like some sort of emo-like crappy written drama story... Indeed, I could say the same about almost any big city in the world, specially europe. Too bad you cant use a segway in japan. You say you didn't want those anymore...
