What an ironic post, WDK! You seem to be baiting me as well. And Tachikoma's first post in this thread would be considered baiting other members into a flamewar. I'm just the only one who has the courage to stand up, and I talked to a lot of members via PMs yesterday, and the general consensus was that what Tachikoma said was out of line. Imagine that! And the fact that he never even bothered to describe WHY he hates the game and just say that Barbie' Horse adventure is better just exacerbates the feeling that he is trolling. Did you notice the two people he upset in the beginning of the thread with what he said? What he did is comparable to me going into, say, a thread Gaijinpunch made about some JRPG he really wants, and saying something along the lines of "I'd rather eat shit than play this game" Do you see what I mean? Tachikoma could have used a little bit more tact in his post, whether it was jest or not. And despite what everyone thinks, when I said "Popular American games" I should have said "Popular games" in general. Like how people hate even the good games EA publishes, just because its from EA. Like Timesplitters Future Perfect, which was made by a European developer. I think this should be a lesson to the both of us on how we should choose our words carefully, and think about what we say, lest this happen again. By the way, WDK, you need to let go of your past grudges and stop bringing up old shit. Its only making you look like a troll, too. Now that I said my two cents, Back on topic of Halo 3: PhreQuencYViii, that new trailer is AMAZING! The whole atmosphere is great! I hope they keep most (or at least a lot) of the game on Earth this time, though.;-)
Well anyhow, yes, that diaroma was cool. For some reason I just thought that was pretty damn awesome. Someone must have had fun making that.
That diorama is both cool and sad at the same time... Is cool that they make such a realistic scenery to promote a game and at the same time make a game ad that doesnt looks like an ad for a fucking toy... And sad becos this thing most be the most complex and expensive war diorama ever, and it was made for a fictional war were nobody died. Plus some may take it as an offence to the memory of real veterans...
Yeah! I thought it was really cool they made something like that. It's like...art. The creators must be proud. But at the same time, its for a fucking game. Still cool though.
If the "general concensus" is that I was out of line, by all means make an official complaint. If you can back it up with anything other than "ZOMG he h8's d4 Halo!" pm's, then I will take whatever kev wishes to dish out.
You know what I find funny? I thought that diorama was the actual graphics of Halo 3. Musta been the effects, and the fact that next gen games all have the plastic look to them. Also, I think its kinda unusual with how they are basically telling gamers the ending already. I mean, they already pretty much said MC blows himself up with a grenade.h:
That's not the ending, or something. The people who made that have not seen the ending of the game, at least when they were making it.
We know mankind wins at the end, which pretty much blows the whole point since if you remember the first Halo3 trailer ended with Cortana saying "this is how the world ends" now what? a crappy matrix-esque ending? BTW the diorama also says MC may become a prisoner of the covenant. The way they say that seemsto imply something more than the scene with MC holding a plasma granade...
Yeah in the first issue of the marvel comic, right after the ending of Halo2, but the video seems to hint that he will be capture again, or at least thats what I could understand...
