just read this: http://maddox.xmission.com/c.cgi?u=walmart and beleave me, if they could come here legally they would, but you need visa and crap "aka be rich" and why would rich people come here to work at walmart?

edit: well , not be rich but have a good job and have some money in a bank account.

Illegal aliens is another topic. I'm pretty divided on the issue myself.

Just to show that I support people when they have good ideas, immigration reform is actually one thing I think the Bush people have gotten right (the idea of giving day laborers visas to come work here and such.) Since these people would just come over illegally anyway, we should stop fighting against the grain and just put some sort of system in place to make it safe and profitable for all parties concerned.

So see, the right and the left can agree on some things.

Maddox is the man. Funny (and true) stuff.

    Walmart still sucks monkey nuts.

It's called exploitation. Wal-Mart exploits "illegal immigrants" who will work for less than "regular Americans" will, sometimes paying them much less. Wal-Mart knows the immigrants want a US job badly, as it allows you various "protections" and also you make a heck of a lot more money than you did across the border. 'Cept, they take advantage of the fact, and pay them less than what they are "legally" entitled to. Just because they aren't American doesn't mean they have rights, after all.

I'm racist against white, middle-class Americans. I admit it. Most are morons, and it's a shame they ruin it for the good ones.

I'd say everyone at one time in thier lives is problably racist. But I don't think it's some kind of ingrown human characteristic. I'm pretty sure it's learned behavior.

    Walmart still bites my choad.

Well the US admitted that it had a problem with slavery and there are still people that hold a grudge on those things. However, many countries exploit the ethnic minorities within them. Many countries don't have discrimination laws if someone wasn't hired because they were from another country or asian. At least the US is trying to put a stop to it. I don't see other countries doing the same. Oh and just to name a few that have openly discriminated against people not of their own are: Japan, Indonesia, India, Yemen, Egypt, France, and South Africa just to name a few.

All too true Madhatter. America does have a one up on the "all men (or women) are created equal" front. You can't say the same for say, Saudi Arabia. At least we don't chop people's hands off here.

Not that I'm racist against Saudis or anything.

I saw that episode of South Park. That show continues to amaze.

    Walmart still sucks Elephant dingleberries.

In the UK Wal-Mart own ASDA, one of the biggest chains in the UK. I shop there as the products are cheap and of an acceptable quality. I know a lot of people who work for them, and it aint glamourous and highly paid, but show me a supermarket that is.

Wal-Mart hardly made ASDA that way; it always has been decent price-wise in comparison to say, Tesco and particularly Sainsbury's, in the many years beofre Wal-Mart bought them out a few years back and after.

I am I the only one who thinks saying "African Americans" is a bit...off? I mean, they aren't really african any more...they are American! Makes me wonder why the don't call all the "white" people European Americans!

If you're racist against all groups, that makes you racist to no one! So that means the only non-racists are really racists! :smt030

And I hope those ghosts scare the shit out of the dumb assholes who put a Wal Mart on a grave site.

It was only a few decades ago that Negro was the politically correct term -- now you get cained if you say it. In 30 years, African American will become a slang term.

My country's Wal-Mart free! Doesn't really make things different though - all the immigrants just go and work at all the crappy fast food chains instead. Burger King and McDonald's are 90% immigrant-employed these days.

And in a small shitty country like mine, we have much bigger threats than big chain-stores like Wal-Mart - there's all the EVIL foreign companies putting their crappy shops here and taking money out of our country. In the last 10-15 years, in Limerick we've seen so many shops from the UK and wherever else come over here I've lost count, like Game (UK), Dixons/Currys/PC World (UK electronics stores), Tesco (UK supermarket) taking over Quinnsworth, Aldi and Lidl (German supermarkets), HMV, the Sony Centre and Panasonic Shop Thingy - the list goes on forever! I'm just happy we haven't got Starbucks yet!
