I like my micro, because, it's small. I got the Pokemon version, and regreat horribly throwing away the box. I still haven't gotten over how I did that. I'm an idiot. I have a Play-Yan micro for it too.

I want my box back. But how!? I NEED the box. Need...Need...

But what I want is the Final Fantasy IV edition. Meh. Maybe next year. Or the Famicom version? ...

Well, I got a small flyer from Toys R Us, where they introduced a pack containing a GBA Micro with 2 movie tie-in games, a Namco retro collection, and some protector covers or something similar for 80 dlls.

There's an article right now in modojo discussing the apparent failure of the Micro:

Man, I hope I can find a famicom edition cheap, because otherwise it's pretty much useless for me. I rather have the GBC/GB compatibility and functions to connect to the GC.

There was a Toys'r'us deal online where you could get 2 GBA micros and a few carrying cases for $63. It was a glitch in the "package" deal online and I don't know if it still works, but they were honoring it. There was a thread about it over at cheapassgamer.

While it wasn't a failure, they could've done so much more if there was a built-in MP3 playing function (+ some flash memory), made a decent set of faceplates, and made the price more affordable.

I got mine at some Wal-Mart in Germany, they sold them for 45€ at that time.

But now that it seems micros are becoming less popular the prices started to rise again - most online shops sell them around 60€...

You still can get a nice deal at ebay.de, right now there are a few new micros listed at 44€ (BuyItNow)

Honestly I'm glad the micro floped, since it shows nintendo they cant keep on living from old, obsolete tech like they did in the past with the GBC...

I was looking at the Famicom Edition today as well. 5500 yen down here for a new one. How much did you pay up north, Tatsujin?

You can link a micro to the gamecube, today i was just enjoying the delights of playing NiGHTS on my micro. It looks lovely on such a sharp & crisp screen.

how is nights on the GBA Importaku? Is it 3D or a 2D effort? Anything like the Saturn original?

Its 2d but it feels suprisingly like the saturn version. Nights moves very fluidly. Sadly its only 1 level but bless sega for giving it away in PSO & billy hatcher (^_^)

Yes a special score attack version of nights was available.

It originally appeared on PSO as a special xmas quest where you helped nights recover glowing orbs when you returned them back to him he gave you a special gift. It allowed you to connect a gba & download the nights game into your gba. The only prolem was you had to be online to download the game each time you wanted to play.

A few years later sega gave away the same minigame in billy hatcher you had to find a special nights egg & hatch it to unlock it in the gba game menu.

Threre was also puyo puyo, chu chu rocket as well.

    Fiasco? No.

It was simply a stopgap on the way to the systems death. I wasnt expecting the GBA/SP/Micro to last into 2007, but Square and Atlus are apparently sticking to it. Nice to see it go out with such a huge bang, too.
