I finaly got me a nice old laptop last week. It's a pentium 133 mhz with 80 megs of ram 1mb video card and 2,1 gb hard drive. I'm going to use it as my oldscholl dos/win95 games machine and i'd like to know what games are must haves. Thus far i have installed: Command and conquer Command and conquer: red alert Age of empires Diablo Theme park Theme hospital Civilizations 2 Duke Nukem 3D Doom I and II Jazz Jackrabbit Sonic R Sonic 3D Tyrian Ufo: enemy unknown Warcraft I and II Lemme know what great classics i've missed and absolutely must install. :smt023
Well, it all depends on what you played then... I recommend... Return to Zork-Really Really cool Zork Sequel Doom 2 Rise of the Triad <-----Man, that was my second favorite FPS... Tank Wars ) Raptor: Call of the Shadows Wacky Wheels-Mario Kart Clone X Wing---Man thats a cool game OOOH! And all those awesome Lucasarts point and click adventure games! Like! The Dig Full Throttle Day of the Tentacle Sam and Max Hit the Road Maniac Mansion (though I just played the NES version) That was what I played most of the time on PC...I'm not gonna mention the obvious crap, and I do mean CRAP like Myst.
Doh how could i have forgotten wacky wheels and dune I + II. both are already installed, now on the hunt for day of the tentackle and sam&max :-D
Random whatevers that pop up in my mind: -Shadow Warrior -Lost Eden -C&C -Leisure Suit Larry games -PC ports of various Japanese arcade shmups like Layer Section, Darius Gaiden etc. -Airborne Ranger -Rayman -Simcity 2000 -Dark Forces -Rebel Assault (2) -Wing Commander 3+4
re Carmageddon (not for the weak of heart) Hexen Hexen II King's Quest Collection Mechwarrior II Mega Man X Quest for Glory Collection (rather expensive :smt067 ) System Shock Terminal Velocity TIE Fighter TES I: Arena (free at www.elderscrolls.com) TES II: Daggerfall Ultima Collection There are many more, but these are the main few that come to mind.[/url]
Re: re The only other must have besides Prince of Persia, and Prince of Persia 2 : Shadow and the Flame

hmmm i think Silverbolt needs a fix of good old abandonia ( yeah i know it is called abandonware) http://www.abandonia.com my recomendations are Monkey Island 1 and 2 ( i am very fond of monkey island 1 myself) and fps games hmmm Wolfenstein 3D and the sequel Spear Of Destiny if they are allowed in The Netherlands because in Germany they are not other fps games heretic Hexen and strife for good runner of the doom engine in other scenarios and fighting games One Must Fall 2097 http://www.omf2097.com/ for the "ancestors" of Resident Evil i recomend Alone In The Dark 1 2 and 3 plus ecstatica and for old 2d platformers i recomend the original Duke Nukem/Nukum series and the Commander Keen series (pm me if you want a link to the full versions of those old and great Keen games) but now i think i just want to say this if you want other links PM me WolverineDK over and out for now :drinkers:
Umm might have to hunt a copy down for my self... wonder if windows xp will be a bitch about it tho...
