While I agree with your choice (sure as hell do!) playing it on a P133 isnt very fun - heck, I had enough trouble on a 200mhz Cyrix :smt009

Ahh, Nostalgia returns. The PC has some amazing classic games :-D

The only games i ever used to play were point & click adventures. Here is my list of my ESSENTIAL pc must haves.

    Lucasarts
    -----------
    Sam & max
    Day of the tentacle
    The Dig
    Full throttle
Indiana jones & the last crusade
Indiana jones & the fate of atlantis
All of the monkey island games
    Grim fandango

    Others
    --------
The legend of kyrandia trilogy of games (i love that series)
Shivers 1 & 2 (creepy horror point & click adventures)
Companions of Xanth (another fun adventure with some very weird puzzles)

Also my fave non adventure game would be Night shift by lucasarts its a fantastic puzzle game where you have to control a toy making machine that makes lucas character toys its a really nice game and very unique.

(EDIT) Oops My bad, must do a spelling check more often :smt043

Doesnt that game *require* a 3dfx card? :-(
In Silverbolt's case that's not really an option unless he wants to carry a docking station and external screen around all the time :smt043

(hey, it makes you strong :p)

Someone else who's heard of the kyrandia games?!?! and LOVES them.

I think you're my new favorite Taku

  12. The original DOS Pirates is quite old. Pirates Gold was for Windows 3.1. So, uh, no :p The new 3D remake isn't even out yet (November 16 is the release date I think).

  15. Since this thread got bumped, I'll take the opportunity to mention that Fallout 1 and 2 have a recommended config of a P120 and 32MB of RAM.

Some old games age terribly. Wolfenstain 3D makes me puke now. Same for Daggerfall. And in it's time I considered those breathtaking

Uh, kind of an old thread, no?

    Anyway...
    Abuse
    Raptor: call of the shadows
Platform games by Apogee like Crystal Caves, Secret Agent, both of which I preferred to any of the Keen series.

No PC/Mac game collection is complete without one of the finest RTS series ever made, Bungie's Myth 1 and Myth 2 (circa 1997-1999).
Super fun without any of the boring resource management aspects which bring down most other RTS games...you get an allotment of units (occassionally you'll get reinforcements mid-level) and it's up to you clear each stage. Great story too, just do yourself a favor and skip the horribly poor Myth III (which Bungie had nothing to do with, btw).
