If it was based on the cartoon series then I am not interested, the movies were awesome, the live-action TV show was almost as awesome and the cartoon was pathetic. (they didn't even have the awesome theme music like the movies and live-action TV)

A LaserActive dev kit for the games? Hardware to dump the few MegaLD games that exist? Unreleased MegaLD games/beta/protos.

The Metal Sonic boss fight did run on the Saturn. And the Green Hill Zone Sonic Xtreme ISO leaked awhile back.

So at least one of the two known discs is in the wild.

Dude the RE1.5 80% Final Built is a fucking cunt. If we could just get it. But it seems that this will never happen.

Yeah I have a copy of the ISO of the 718 build but I'd like to see a fisheye lense working Saturn disc found. It was confirmed that they managed to get it running on the Saturn

The FM Towns Marty console is in my opinion the most underrated system

I'd only care for that if there's any actual software to go along with it :) I know Secret of Mana started on SNES CD, plus that Japan-only Zelda-like game called Marvelous.

I hesitate to use the commonly quoted 80% figure, but the last known build of the Biohazard 2 "1.5" era prototype is definitely on my list of holy grails, and perhaps this might yet happen since it's clear Team I.G.A.S. very nearly had access to this in completing their restoration project based on the same earlier development copy PlayStation Museum owned. Also, let's not forget that Kim Larsen's source for all those exclusive images clearly has the same version, so that makes at least two copies we know are out there somewhere... and I've not even mentioned the abandoned Saturn conversion of Biohazard 2, which one normally reliable poster over at the THIA forum recently spoke of in quite fascinating details I'd never seen openly disclosed before now.

As for other titles, both complete revisions of Saturn Virtua Fighter 3 are (naturally!) my most wanted, along with any other test discs from the ill-fated Sonic Xtreme, either in its Saturn or PC guises. Finally, if the rumours are true, next year when Yu Suzuki hosts a presentation on the history of Shenmue's production at the GDC we might finally get to see more from the abandoned Saturn code, proving that either this still exists or at the least he still has access to further video footage. Whatever the case, that's another I'd really like to see find its way out into the wild, even though I know Sega Of Japan especially aren't well known for leaks of unreleased software - indeed, apart from Propeller Arena, what else of any significance has come from AM2 in particular?

It WILL happen ... eventually. You'll just have to wait. Look how long folks waited for the 40% build, and how many years after it was first found before it was eventually secured, then all the drama before it got relea-- er, um, "leaked." (grrrrrrrr).

There's so much other rare stuff out there, though. RE15 is the best known of the rares, but it's definintely not the only one, nor is it the most valuable. It's not even the rarest - not by a long shot. It's just among the best known, that's all.

As for me, I used to have a genuine Phantasy Star MD cart for Mega Drive (Genesis). Sold it ages ago, though.

This area in Sonic X-treme was also playable at E3!

I think there will always be something left to discover, for example that Saturn revision that was revealed a couple months ago. Ofcourse it would be impossible to actually own all this proto hardware due to availability and price, but if you really want something you can always make an offer to the owner.

When collecting games and/or console related software, you could probably spend all your money and still only own a fraction of what is available.

So maybe focussing on a few specific platforms is the way to go, and sometimes there also nice promo stuff available to include in the collection.

I realize it's just the scan, but that totally looks like it's sewn together out of felt. I could do that :D

Yeah, I'm really surprised that DeeDee Planet hasn't popped up by now.

My personal holy grail would be a Pioneer LaserActive with MD-Pac. ;) ... or maybe some MD-Prototype Cartridges...
