As most electronic devices need names for either bluetooth or networking (or just names, like the PS3 and Nintendo Wii), I thought it would be interesting to see what mundane names we all pick... My netbook is called Lum, my PDA is called Chisame, my mobile phone(s) are called Arle, my PS3 is called Setsuna, My PSP is called Kyoko and my DS is called Kozue. plus I called two PCs at work Tsukasa and Kagami. (Bonus points if anyone can guess where the names come from )
PSP = HAX PS3 = HAX2 PC = ALEC2 Laptop = 180Alap2 (for obscurity/wardriving/stealing neighbor's faster interwebs, it's in the format of my previous school's computers to blend in while haxxing) Lame, I know.
I don't name my stuff, but my gaming PC is called "Renessanss" because all my other PCs are pretty much from stone age and a friend of mine threw the name out during an IM conversation

You either have a thing for Lucky Star or food... I'm guessing food. I name all my gear that I use on a regular basis or I consider a complete usable standalone system (in the case of the PS3 w/ Linux), don't know why I just do. I usually stick to fictional AIs and celestial objects but I do deviate a bit. My current list: XPS M1530 - Singularity (Blackhole) Studio XPS 16 - Nexus (Replicant line from Blade Runner) Acer Aspire One - Serena (AI from Halo Wars) PS3 - Midnight Sun (the sun seen during the middle of the night in the Arctic) iPhone - Durandal (AI from Marathon) PowerMac G3 - Pulsar (Radio emitting star) Macbook - Ethos (AI from somewhere) Dell e1505 - Wintermute (AI from Neuromancer) Intel Beigebox - Patchwork I've actually got all of them setup so that is there hostname and can easily be seen from my WRT54g's config page.
Debian box (firewall/torrentbox/webserver etc) - Sol Main PC (state[ish] of the art)- Jupiter Secondary PC (old and crap) - Venus Main laptop - Terra Secondary laptop (old and crap, mainly used for recipes in the kitchen) - Mars eeePC - Pluto Boring, I know, but I find it very easy to recall which is which.
My laptop was named by my dad "detestotodo" (Ihateverything) Mi Wii's name is Pandora, which is my first nickname. Hmm, and I have a massage matress I just baptized Eric Northman like the character in True Blood, because the idea of him giving me a massage is just....

Hmm, my Wii is "Tchoin" or "Pato" (my real nickname, as a civilian and not some internet avengere as Tchoin lol), I can't quite remember right now. My DS is "Daedalus", my laptops are just by brand "DELL XPS 13", "LAPTOP_GATEWAY" and the desktops are "Workstation 1" and "Workstation 2". Can't remember the name for my modded XBOX as I barely use it right now. I think that's most of it.
